Read the title. AIM is the current chat client of choice for most GHZers now. If you don't have an AIM screen name, you're missing out on almost nightly chats of insane and extreme GHZ-flavored fun! It's like the message boards, only moving in real-time and much faster! Plus, there's cybersex (this is a lie).

Don't have an AIM screen name? Go <A HREF="http://www.aim.com/get_aim/win/latest_win.adp">here</A> and click on <B>New Users Click Here</B> to register a screen name. From there you can download the official AIM client and start having fun with your fellow GHZers!

Don't like the official AIM client? Then don't use it! There are a bunch of other programs you can use, most of which offer support for other chat clients as well. <A HREF="http://www.miranda-im.org/">Miranda</A>, <A HREF="http://www.trillian.cc/">Trillian</A>, <A HREF="http://gaim.sourceforge.net/">Gaim</A>, and probably some others I'm forgetting.

<A HREF="http://www.jdennis.net/">DeadAim</A> is a nice plug-in application for the official AIM client. It offers features such as tabbed IM windows, conversation logging, cloning, ad-removal, and other useful stuff. It doesn't work too well with the latest version of AIM (5.9 sucks), so if you're looking for an older version of AIM and a *cough*free*cough* version of DeadAim, ASK ME.

After you've got your screen name and chat application of choice, the next step is finding your buddies on the wonderful world of the internet! So here's a call-out to the GHZers here who do have AIM: Post your screen name here so we can hopefully get more of these fags in on our chats!

The little AIM icon's been sitting at the bottom of the little bar for a while. If people wanted to try and contact me, they'd realize I'm rarely on AIM or don't want to speak with them.

I'm MaskedCheese, I think. Ever since Blair Witch 2 came out it has been next to impossible to register for anything as "Esrever"... it's always already taken. :P

I personally recommend trying Miranda as an alternative to AIM. It's got pretty robust support for AIM, but not just AIM. With support for AIM, MSN, ICQ, YAHOO, and even IRC, Miranda accepts more clients than Utada on a busy weekend.

(I'm not running out of ideas.)

Yeah, but it only sends/recieves plain text messages. I love Miranda, but that killed it for me. But if you don't care about text formatting of any kind, go for it, it's the best. And it also doesn't require any installation, so it's a really nice thing to tote around on a thumbdrive or something.
