Happy New Year, everybody!

Post by Segaholic2 »

I'm going to start early and beat everyone else to it. NYAH! Reply with sentimental crap about the past year (2004 for those of you out of the loop) that nobody else wants to hear about.

Hope everyone has a fun, safe, and memorable last night of the year!
Segaholic2: Happy new year, Pep! :-*
UberPep: GAAAAH
Segaholic2: What
UberPep: Dont' kiss me!
Segaholic2: :-(
UberPep: Kiss Spazz.
Segaholic2: Never!
UberPep: Well, at least you have some level of standards.
Segaholic2: That's absolutely correct
Segaholic2: :-*

In addition to Spazz list:

~~The DS is released--but I will most likely purchase it next year

~~The PSP is released--in Japan

~~Katamari Damacy is released in North America in all of its full glory and I enjoyed it

~~The Incredibles rocked

~~Spider-Man 2 also rocked but not as much as The Incredibles

~~Van Helsing sucked--I mean really, really sucked >:(

~~I haven't seen Catwoman, but I'll bet it sucked more than Van Helsing

~~An actual, non-spinoff Shin MegaTen game comes to America, yet I still haven't played it yet

~~Nintendo surprises with a new realistic Zelda game announcement at E3

~~SEGA(or their rapid fanchildren) disappoints with their "megaton" announcement being Matrix Online at E3

~~South Asian Tsunami =(

~~I forgot some other things of importance

Well, it's hard to say 'happy' New Year when CNN broadcast coverage of the aftermath of the tsunami incident. =(

South Park Episode 801
If you are going to mention this year's South Park episodes then you should also add this year's Christmas Episode. One of the best Christmas-related cartoon I've ever seen. XD

And speaking of televised cartoons, Adult Swim premered with some of the best(The Venture Brothers and Fullmetal Alchemist) and worst (Wolf's Rain and Super Milk Chan) shows this year on the block.

I still got an hour and a half, but I ain't got shit to do so whatever. I'll probably play some World of Warcraft or Prince of Persia 2, then swear at the combat for being so fucking cheap.

-- Maximo 2 was decent. Tinker has big boobies.

-- Ninja Gaiden was pretty good, but the vibration on the right side of my Xbox controller stopped functioning around the time I fought the monster in the church. I stopped playing until I could get it replaced, which I still have not done, and hence have never progressed beyond that point in Ninja Gaiden. Was pretty good, though. Rachel has big boobies.

-- Played Final Fantasy XI. Was thrilled to be playing a game for the first time in about two months and enjoyed it for around 40 hours until I realized it would take me at least another 40 hours of play time to become strong enough to reach the next village. Rapidly lost interest.

-- Way of the Samurai 2 was awesome. Think I'm the only person in the world who liked it. Nami has big boobies.

-- Front Mission 4 is profoundly uninteresting.

-- True Fantasy Live is cancelled two days after my Xbox Live subscription is automatically renewed for another year. I become aware of the fact that Ninja Gaiden was probably the last Xbox game I'd ever buy.

-- Tales of Symphonia kicks ass. Shiina has big boobies.

-- Star Ocean 3 sucks. Nel has big boobies, but is a lesbian.

-- Gradius V is good, but fucking hard. Played it around 4 times and got as far as level 6. Little desire to progress. No boobies to be seen.

-- Sly 2 is quite disappointing. I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like it.

-- Imported a Japanese PS2 with some games. Ka 2 sucks, Panic Maker is decent but shallow and short-lived, Katamari Damacy is my new religion. Its brilliance is such that lack of boobies doesn't even bother me.

-- Metal Gear 3 is surprisingly decent. Kojima is still a fucking lunatic. Eva has big boobies.

-- Got a DS. Wario is good, Kimi-whatsis kind of sucks. Will probably never buy another game for the system. Wario has big boobies.

-- Am still in the process of playing Growlanser II. Current evaluation not stellar. Too early for final judgment. Since Satoshi Urushihara is artist, all girls have big boobies.

I think some other stuff happened, too. Finally graduated after 5½ years and roughly $15,000, about 40% of which remains to be paid. The degree seems worthless and I have no connections anywhere. Will probably commit suicide within the next 5 years. Most girls at ULL do not have big boobies.

Good year, aside from the ressurection of Dark Lord Dubbya.

I lost 116 pounds, got a boyfriend, and lost my virginity. In six months during the age of 20, I did what most people do spread over the ages of 13-17. It's like I'm a late bloomer, with a rubber-band like rebound effect.

Also - Katamari Damacy, AstroBoy, Pikmin 2, Pokemon FireRed, and Chain of Memories were all good enough.

If you look at Eva's medical history, It says that she had breast implants, along with a broken nail and other various comical entries. Also, if you look at her X-ray in the medical viewer thingy, you can see her nipples, and she goes into several sexy poses.

Too bad she's useless in a fight.

Bah, its still 2004 for another hour here on the left coast. Overall, I'd say 04 was pretty good to me, I'm sad to see it go.

I'd like to say that I'm gonna stay up until midnight partying and getting drunk (or faded), but I'll mostly spend the night downloading porn and crying myself to sleep.

That makes two of us.

-Klonoa 2 was just as fun as everyone says it is

-Ditto for Ico

-Futurama box sets are the greatest gift one can recieve.

-The DS' launch titles were total letdowns, with the exception of XX:XY

-Full Metal Alchemist was pretty damn entertaining.

It's kinda sad that I haven't played a single game that had a release date in 2004. I just finished Arc III a few days ago, and next I'm gonna play Klonoa.

My wallet seems to be happy, which is probably a good thing.

Actually, I'm supposed to start playing Metal Gear Solid 3 with a friend tomorrow...

Sorry, Grant! Every successive year is a smaller and smaller chunk of your total life, every year seems to fly by faster until you die.

My top games for the year:

Half Life 2: We've talked about this one before, I know. But to reiterate, it's the first single-player FPS to ever really grab me, and it grabbed me hard. It's as close as a game this varied and ambitious will ever get to perfection, and is probably one of the best games I've ever played.

Metroid Prime 2: Neither a revolution or an evolution, Prime 2 is really more of an extension... the same basic gameplay, only with tougher enemies and bosses, vastly more complex morphball sequences, and thanks to the Light/Dark world motif, more elaborate navagational puzzles and item hunting. In other words, it picks up exactly where Prime 1 left off, and then keeps going. Good news for those who loved the original and were left begging for more.

Alien Hominid: This game is just great. The main game aims to capture the spirit and quality of 2D shooters like Metal Slug and Contra, and it hits the mark perfectly. Plus, as a BONUS feature, it has a surprisingly beefy collection of totally unrelated but greatly entertaining mini games, many of which are multiplayer. There is just so much good stuff crammed onto this disc!

Katamari Damacy: While it lasted, it was the best game I'd ever played. Here's hoping the sequel manages to expand the concept without screwing it up.

Oh yeah, I caught that one. It's not really anything more major than the nipples on Taki in Soul Calibur 2, but I guess it is progress... If you tranq her in that section, she mumbles dirty fantasies about Snake, the Boss, and "Fido"...
Too bad she's useless in a fight.
No way, dude. She was a regular on my team. I even did that bonus one-on-one fight to get a weapon that was weaker than the one I was already equipped with.

-Sonic Heroes was good enough (for me)
-MMX:CM showed Capcom's progress in the dubbing department
-Zelda:WW made me remember how good Zelda OT's story was
And other stuff.

-Baba rang in the New Year with a 26 year old Columbian woman who was too drunk to know what statutory rape was! Yay!
...And by that I mean let her cry on my shoulder about how her life was in shambles because her husband left her and she got laid off, etc...
