I fucking hate you all. The only thing I've ever been good at and you're all better than me.

Good work, though.

Hey, I thought your picture of Sparkster and the Spark Robo was awesome.

Why thank you. I liked everything you did, 'cause it was all so fucking sweet.

On a lighter note, I've been inspired to draw again. Yay!

I hate all of you sooo fucking much right now. Your stuff reminds me why I failed Art class in high school :(, and why I gave up on something Art related as a major in college...

It's like I'm Latoya, and I'm surrounded by Janets.

Anyway, here's a steaming turd I drew in 2 hours:

Image

If you excuse me, I'm gonna go cry. And yes, that is *supposed* to be Utada Hikaru. And yes, I realize how pathetic it is of me to draw a sketch of her. And yes, I was serious about going off to cry.

Yeah, Knight.. what the hell? That's actually pretty good. I wouldn't have pulled something like that off in two hours.

Yeah, I'd say your picture there isn't really offering much evidence for whatever is bugging you. Anyway..

SquirrelKnight, I think that pic is lovely. Don't sell yourself short. It's wonderful. I can't draw realistic things like that even if I was at gunpoint.

And that mech = awesome. I can't draw robots and mechs at all, unless I make them look pathetically stupid.

I wanted to compliment you on that Specineff drawing. I saw it at - damn the name escapes me - some VO website about two or three years ago and it was hella good. Nice to finally meet the artist behind it.

That must be me you're talking too. :) Yeah, that was for VO Mania back in the day, I don't know whatever happened to that site, especially since I was working on a translation of one of the official seriel VO novels for the it, and one day I submitted chapter four or something and I never heard from the webmaster again. Really weird.

But great, it's great that people actually looked at that stuff. :)

That's cool that you were involved in translating those. I had heard your name in the VO community long before I posted seriously on the GHZ. It's a small internet.

It really is. It's almost scary. Once I got an AIM message seemingly totally at random from someone who'd read something I posted about the Assault Suit games on (ugh) GameFaqs, and it turned out later when I showed him my webpage that he'd already been there about a week ago... Which I find amazing, because there are only like two websites out there that link to it as far as I know.

Heck, maybe just one.

To be fair, the US VO community is pretty small, so since we were both fans of the game, it was almost inevitable that I would see your name. By the way, nice mecha art in general, it seems to be quite hard to find original mecha art online and it's nice to know a person/site that specializes in it.

That's certainly true. Did you post at all on the SydVOC/VO-net forum? Should I know you from anyplace else?

There's actually a disappointingly small amount of mecha on my webpage actually, at least from my perspective, especially after I specifically asked QC to link me from his site. Though to be fair, it's not like his site doesn't go through months on inactivity as well. If you haven't been checking it (it's easy to overlook in the face of all those boobies) the mecha section at 4chan is a pretty good spot for mecha pictures.

GameFAQs VOOT board and VO.net. Though the latter very rarely and the former only in the last couple of years.
