I saw something Popcorn posted up on an SA draw every day thread, responded to it (along with the picture I just posted), said his stuff looked familiar from someplace, he said he had no idea where from, I then post picture here, internet synchronicity

edit: and j-man do you still draw/still looking for that Sonic comic guy (apparently he was with this group of people who I know for that entire day)

It's a small internets after all, eh?

Yes sir, I still draw on occasion, but doing an animation course sucks all the fun out of it. That guy you speak of was a Mr. Koosh Koosh, who as far as I'm aware is still a member here. No, I'm not looking for him. I'm afraid of what I might find.

Ah that'll be Neil then. He's a nice guy it's just I can't help laughing at him whenever he pulls out his Sonic mp3 collection and mutters something like "ah, this one's a classic" and then rocks out to it or something

NEIL, IF YOU'RE READING THIS - YOU'RE A -~*FAGGOT*~- COME BACK TO THE INTERNET xoxo

I miss Koosh Koosh, he said he was going to see Reel Big Fish ages ago, but he didn't turn up. :(

I recall him being a complete ass the one time I ran into him on IRC, so

He was a wonderful artist, though.

Who said he isn't?

Well, he wasn't, but now all I can see in that picture is Venkman holding his prong. I hate it when this happens.

Shock and awe, I drew some stuff that didn't have a hedgehog (or any videogame related character at all!) in it.

STOP TALKING ABOUT ME AS IF I'M DEAD

Also, Ritz, sorry about that. IRC turns me into an immense faggot. Plus, I wrongly heard you were forum user Wetflame, so yeah. My bad.

Oh and maybe art from me later. I just put up my final show at uni, so yeah. *returns to lurking*

Shitty drawing, but it pisses Sally fans off, so it's all good.

The idea is that characters such as Chris Thorndyke and Oogtar are nothing more than the Princess Sally's of thier respected cartoon series. Characters that got in the way waaaay too often, stealing screentime in a cartoon based on a videogame that they were'nt even in.

XD

Oh MAN, the Super Mario World cartoon was so awful it was good.

But they earn a cookie for adding actual game music and sound effects in it--something pretty much NO OTHER game-based cartoon does anymore, save for the fifty million different series of Pokemon and that one time in Sonic X.

That's the thing about the SMW show--since the setting of the game was "Dinosaur Land", the people behind the cartoon decided to add a bunch of dim-witted cavemen wearing the obligatory leopard-skin togas. Oogtar was certainly no exception.

I'm fairly certain the Zelda cartoon did as well, and Captain N: the Game Master might've on a few occasions. Less sure on that one, though.

The Pac-Man cartoon featured music from Pac-Land too.

AH, forgot about the Zelda one...and I never saw Captain N or the Pac-Man cartoon.

...wait, they made a PAC-MAN cartoon?! O__o
where?
Well, if you're asking about SMW, they pretty much used the actual game music and SFX all over--for jumping, power-ups, etc.

In the case of Sonic X, they played "Live and Learn"--the main theme from SA2--during the final episode of the SA2 mini-series, when Super Sonic and Super Shadow are using Chaos Control to warp the ARK back to a stable orbit.

Don't feel bad if you missed it, though--4Kids' cut it out when they replaced the good tunes with their crap excuse for "moosak".
