Oh my it's Wonder Wario. Love your artwork and your style. And I must say that Knuckles the Sailorman is just genius.

When can we expect a new batch of artworks from you?

Hmm... I don't recognise your username... anyway, I don't actually run my account, a friend does. I mail a crapload of pics to him, and he does the rest, I do reply to responses in person though.

The next batch should be done in about a week or so.

I'm just a lurker on deviantart (great place to kill time), so there isn't really anything to recognise me by. Or so I hope at least. You never know with the liquor.

I will eagerly await that new batch.

I'm continually amazed at how we agree on everything Sonic related.

It was mostly just general dickery (on my part, too). All is fair in love and Internets, so I apologise too. Now we're all a big happy family, except for Pep who is like the second cousin you only see at weddings and don't sit next to because he smells of urine.

Well the spines look a bit "off" in the Sonic 3 version. The SA/2 version is a close second though. And the pudding-encased Heroes version is crap.

It's that glow aswell and the way his spikes went wavy, there were far more sprites than the Sonic 3 version. Not only that but the Sonic 3 version looked like a total DBZ rip-off with those green eyes.

Yeah, quill style, hue, and eye color are the variable elements. All 3 were perfect in Sonic 2. As Chris said, Sonic 3/K's quills were slightly off and the golden color was slightly duller. Neo Geo's is a lower quality version of that same model. I hate the advance series look. Everything about it is wrong.

As for 3d, my favorite (and the first) implementation is in fighters. The quills are the closest to Sonic 2 that they ever get in 3d, and the color is fine (considering the hardware). I prefer more of a golden-yellow to the solid gold look of SA2 and Heroes.

Image

Sonic R was lazy with its straight out quills, but the color was good. SA1&2 put more effort into them, but I still didn't care for the style. If I remember correctly Heroes set them closer to Sonic 2, which was the game's one redeeming quality for me. I'm not sure if I like the reflectivity or not, but I hate the red eyes.

Yeah but those quills account for like thirty percent of the character model.

I did this as a submission for the local paper's western-themed art/writing insert.

I hope they don't mind that I used a colorful cartoon character to promote cigarettes and firearms.

I love the color. It's very cartoony which is good...to me. Although I'm more into that pose he's making. It's pretty dramatic.

Well, the cig isn't lit, and he's not actively firing the gun, so it's, like, totally cool.

That fourth one from the bottom, the Skies one, I really like. Did you do the background or is it borrowed from someplace?

Unfortunately, no, I didn't draw the background (I probably should've mentioned this). However, the image looked really empty without a background, so I stole some from various shows. I've been meaning to make my own backgrounds, but I'm too lazy to do that now.

Images with backgrounds that aren't drawn by me:
Hans & Urala
Anita, Filla, & Vice (I drew the bottom right portion of the pool, though)
Aika & Fina hug Vyse

I really like the one with Cube. :)

Here's another thing I just finished for YES Mag. It's a little big, so I'll just post the link:
