Does Sonic Battle take place after Sonic Heroes?

Metal Sonic is still cool. I'm not a Star Wars fan, but I suppose you could compare it to the Yoda fight scene. Everything else around it still blows, but that one scene is cool.

The only problem is that now nothing can be done with Metal Sonic for a while without being contrived. That big move we were all waiting for finally happened and it was in Sonic fricking Heroes.

'tis true. Which is probably one of the reasons why Metal wasn't mentioned at all in Sonic Battle.

The Godzilla-thing wasn't bad, but I kinda wanted to see Metal Sonic kicking Sonic's ass in his cool new armour. After seeing his T1000-style quicksilvery shape-shifting abilities halfway through the game I was expecting a little more.

Yeah, that was kind of a disappointment. His new spiky form with the silver lining was awesome, but you only get to see it in one cutscene for about 5 seconds before he starts transforming. (I'm still glad he reverted back to his original form in the end, though.)

Is there any official art of that form? Or if someone could even get a screenshot of it, that would be excellent.

Better size and a lot clearer, but there's that movement blur that looks a little weird.

Still, I'll consider myself upstaged fair and square, and step aside gracefully.

So...what? Gibbon didn't want Metal V2.0 screenshots after all?

Could at least give the mandatory "Fuck no! Those suck, and you guys suck, too! RARGH!!" or whatever...

I don't mean to second guess you, but he has been on a few times and posted in other threads. But that might be busy to him.
Or mabey, he just forgot...

Naturally. He may have had only just enough time to respond to half a dozen other threads.

... I'm starting to sound a tad too whiny for my own good. I'll shut up now.

Yes it does. It's like this so far.

Sonic Adventure

Sonic Shuffle

Sonic Adventure 2

Sonic Advance 2

Sonic Heroes

Sonic Battle

Sonic Advance 3

Sonic Team never said when Sonic Advance happened.

I always thought Sonic Advance was out-of-storyline. I also thought maybe Advance 2 happened before the Adventures. That's the last time I watch Sonic X.

I think Sonic Advance takes place right before SA1.

Necro-posting is bad, particularly for such a simple point.

Sonic Advance really does belong out of storyline, given that, for example, Sonic has a few abilities that have been strung from SA2, such as grinding and sliding.
