So, what's the deal with the Sonic comics?

Speak your mind, or lack thereof. There may occasionally be on-topic discussions.

Um, did anyone else besides me notice that in the episode of Sonic X where Sonic couldn't stop running because that thing stuck in his ear, that when they tried to feed him while he was running in that wheel, they gave him a chili dog?

I have three guesses:
1) Coincidence
2) It was a joke or they were making fun of the American version.
3) They adapted it. (Please, NO!)

Hey, does anybody know of a place where I can download all the Sonic X episodes in Japanese? Preferably the RM format, since that's what I've been collecting them in (I'm missing the last 15-20 episodes... School caught up to me and I forgot to get them while they were easily available). And yes, I know, I hate Real with even more passion than anyone else, so I'm using something else to get around it.

But yeah. I want to download all the episodes. And how many of them have been fan-subbed?

If you're just looking for the first season, The Sonic Stadium FTP Service has up to episode 34 in RM format.

Details here:

I think that's a bratwurst croissant. With lettuce?

More Gibbon! embarassment: the first letter published by Archie was printed five months after the opening of the GHZ, if I'm reading everything correctly. Given the delays in printing, he likely wrote them and sent them off just after the GHZ opened. (Sonic #51)

The letter posted earlier was his second published letter (in Sonic Special #2)

Speaking of the Sonic Comics, did anyone here ever happen to have the NiGHTS comics? I've always wondered about those as I haven't heard much about them.

I have the first 3. It was a decent effort. The art's better than anything that was appearing in Sonic at the time, but is still a bit dodgy. The story is a heavily-altered adaptation of the game plot that (predictably) utterly lacks the original charm.

Are these things worth anything? Because I never see them anymore and I'd think they'd have some collector's value. It seems to me that any kind of NiGHTS merchandise would be worth something.

Damn, you can't even find them on eBay...

Probably. I saw a Reala plush go for something like 60 pounds on eBay.

Sonic X where Sonic couldn't stop running because that thing stuck in his ear
Stellar storylines.

I'm so glad that I didn't waste a huge amount of VHS/hard drive on Sonic X. So glad.

I got the DVDs cheap. Unfortunatley, I didn't know they were the bootleg version at the time. >_<

Ha, I had that happen to me too, except I didn't care because I had my anime for $10.

Lucky! I ended up paying $30 for the first 26 eps.

Yeah, the episode where he got the piece of metal (?) stuck in his ear was the exact episode that I stopped watching.
