The Sega Pluto

Post by big_smile »

A ex-Sega employee has posted photos of the Sega Pluto.

This is different from the Sega Pluto that magazines reported on back in the 90's (which ended up being the Sega Nomad) and is actually a Sega Saturn with built in Net-link support.

It's kind of odd that no one heard of it before, as it seems to have got to a fairly finished state (complete with a production style logo).

I am guessing it must have had some other planned features, as it seems a little bit large to be just a Saturn with a Netlink.

When reading the headline on TSSZ, I thought for a moment that Sega had returned to console development. :(

Man... it's much uglier than the regular Saturn (which I still consider the best, most badass-looking home videogame system ever created). In fact, it kinda looks like a cheaper model.
