Press up and down on the D-pad to make the cylinders bob.

They should of made it more obvious of how to operate those things. I told someone in school last year how to get past that part. Could you imagine getting stuck on a game that long?

That barrel should return as the end boss to the next game.

Yeah, even though I've beaten the game countless times that damn barrel still gets on my nerves. And isn't this a job for GameFAQs?

The only reason I figured out that damn barrel is because Tails kept spazzing out and jumping on it.

I never had any trouble with those things. For some reason it was instinct for both me and my friend. You all are just retarded. Yes, you!

Wait, let me guess...

Definately the worst feedback given in a Sonic game. If they'd had just made Sonic lean when you press up or down, people would have been able to figure out that something was happenning. I instead got sidetracked by Tails jumping to move the barrels and ended up using a rapid fire controller and jumping to get by that part.

I draw the same conclusion. Don't get your panties in a bunch about it, NT.

It's okay to lie in order to look cool when you're among strangers or women or in another such situation where appearances matter. But when you're just with buddies, it's offending.

Nobody did man, don't worry. Anyone who says they figured it out on their own without trying for months is lying.

Because it's counterintuitive and makes absolutely no sense. Which would explain why Popcorn knew it instinctively.

Don't forget about me just 'cause I don't have any capital letters in my name, you brazen whore.
Seriously, I owned that barrel at the tender age of 8 when I got the game. It wasn't hard to figure out. If me and Pop managed it, why couldn't the rest of the fucking world?

It was freaking simple. There are only two possible options. Jumping, which obviously doesn't work and pressing up and down. I don't get why you guys were stuck for so long. My friend and I both figured it out, and let me tell you something about my friend, he is a god damn moron.
