Actually no, I forgot my li'l brother gave me a nice T-shirt, too.

... Yep, I think that's all.

And I just got the VGA Box and tried it out. It's just totally awesome, the first Adventure looks just like the PC version when I ran it on my Athlon 1.2 GHz with 128MB RAM, only with about twice the frame rate. Jet Grind Radio and Adventure 2 are simply amazing, and Shenmue is beyond anything I could ever say.

Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store.

*lol*

Kwanzaa doesn't come from a store, honey. Christmas does! Still, sandals? During Winter? I can't think of a more spiteful gift.
Sin & Punishment Star Successor (the last 2 were on clearance at Target)
FUCK I forgot all about that. Christmas ruined.

Don't worry, we're currently having peaks of about 97 ºF down here, the sandals do come in handy. ^^

Screw receiving, what did you give for Christmas?

I gave my sister a ukulele (which she asked for). I just hope she actually learns to play the damn thing.

Also a bottlebrush plant and some lavender plants for my dad in Portugal.

Since I believe in equivalent exchange, I gave my bro another T-shirt.

I gave out a lot of gift cards.

I gave my brother the three Burger King Xbox games and Jet Set Radio Future/Sega GT 2002. He got a gift card too as his real gift.

I gave my sister Rummikub, which we played together on Christmas.

My buddy who is forcefully trying to act all grown up (I'm sure he'll put up a white picket fence this spring) got an "Apple Christmas Wreath"-scented candle from me.

Gift cards are the worst gifts possible as they are below pure cash (which is quite good as an alternative!).

I got right tired quick of my brother and mine's tradition of giving each other 50$ Best Buy (yeck) gift cards. Not only were we making each other's money less versatile, it was for a store that never, ever has good deals. (I think he thinks Amazon is just a jungle in South America)

I once put thought into a gift for him in the form of Viva Pinata, thinking it was the perfect gift for a guy who has a young kids. He had the audacity to ask for the receipt. Thought it was too kiddy.

Yeah, he's one of those guys.

You missed the obvious joke, you called me honey, you seem to have forgotten that "winter" is only applicable to half the planet, and your consumerism is revolting. You are now more annoying than PPA and Frieza combined. Good job.

I gave my father a book, my mother, grandmother, and sister custom calendars, and my brother headphones & a mix CD. You are about to say that a mix CD is a stupid idea, and I remind you he's autistic and thus downloading music off the internet is a bit out of his skillset.

Also, yeah, giftcards suck. I got $50 in cash from my grandmother and it was the best thing ever. Bought extra groceries this week!

Got:

A bike!
Up (dvd)
Alex Ross' Rough Justice art book
Some comic books
A book by Cortázar and Memoirs of a Geisha
A pair of really cool Tron-like sneakers
A Pac-Man T-shirt
A wood puzzle thingie
"AaaaaAAaaAaaaAah! Complete Disregard of Gravity" through Steam

I gave:

My mom the Hugh Laurie book
My dad a collection of cuban music cds.
My sister a baby album for baby pictures
My girlfriend a dress, a very beautiful edition of Homer's "Odissey" and "Illiad" and something else I really don't remember now.
A friend from work a mug that changes when you put something hot in it
A friend of mine Batman Arkham Asylum through Steam
Another friend Poker Night through Steam
Another friend Deathspank through Steam

I also bought myself a bunch of cheap-ass Steam games.

Oh, and yesterday my Xbox 360 red ringed. I guess that counts as a gift? Hooray.

I gave out a laptop and a JCB phone. Plus I'm going to get one of my mates the new Mortal Kombat when it comes out.

I bought a lot of books this year. I think the only non-books presents I gave were a Tails figurine for my sister and an iPad app (ArtRage) for mum. I think I mentioned the figurines before, they seem to come from a line that are retro in style but with original artwork on the casing, presumably launched for the release of Sonic 4.

Hey! You are just jealous of Frieza's healthy diet and PPA's flower power.

Where is all that rainy season cheer down there in Calforiniafricaico?

Gee, you really can't screw around with this woman! At all. Positively no japing or hoodwinks allowed.

Also I didn't catch the Buenos Aires before the edit time limit and my meager Christmas earnings effectively make up my net income for the year so I reserve the right to indulge in (and grandstand over) what little material wealth I've acquired. Ask me about Capitalism any other day of the year, it'll be funny!

I got $100, some Indian snack food, some Australian root beer, Inception, Borders and Best Buy gift cards, some book called Thr3e, and an electric shaver.

I gave two calendars to my parents and a gift card for my sister (it's what she wanted).

I went to hospital! It was miserable. But then! A list appeared.

Super Mario Galaxeeeee 2
An incredibly cheesy and brilliant Buzz Lightyear t-shirt
A rather lovely hardback copy of The Hobbit, with maps and that
Bill Bailey - Dandelion Mind (a must see)
Regina Spektor Live in London
A dictaphone, to compensate for my forgetfulness
The Tim Vine Joke Book
Nerd Do Well, Simon Pegg's autobiography/fictional caper
Dark Universe by Daniel F. Galouye
River World by Philip José Farmer

As for gifts given... they're still in the post. Hospital, see? Bad timing all round, really. Good thing I have patient friends!

If you don't mind me asking, what caused you to go to the hospital?
