What are you playing today?
Re: What are you playing today?
I got it a few months back, but haven't really had time to experiment with it too much. Friend Code is 0861-8400-7064. I've also got the WiiWare showcase, if you prefer that.
Re: What are you playing today?
So, because I haven't paid attention to a game's sequel I have never played the first one?Dr. BUGMAN wrote:*Has never actually played Nintendogs; has assumed there's nothing more to it than owning a virtual dog.gr4yJ4Y wrote:Isn't this part of Nintendogs & Cats? Re: What are you playing today?
No I haven't! Hence the asterisk.
Re: What are you playing today?
Asterisks typically indicate correction. A pair of asterisks indicate self-action.
Re: What are you playing today?
A single asterisk typically indicates textual or factual correction. A ^ indicates one's own deduction upon reading the offending post, and was what gr4yJ4Y interpreted it as.
K2J: I might very well take you up on that offer, since I don't think you can send a whole batch of stuff at once through the DS. That being said, DS code is 3052 3437 1132, Wii code is 1422 5063 6895 0228. Now I'll just need your Wii code and maybe within the next 24 hours we will have completed the handshake in Nintendo's state-of-the-art online gaming model.

Except I was anticipating on being called out on something so, so, so, so incredibly inane.K2J wrote:Asterisks typically indicate correction. A pair of asterisks indicate self-action.

It's a good thing there aren't any pedants here!
Re: What are you playing today?
Showcase doesn't need a second code, right? Just the Wii system code? I can't find a second one anywhere, and I feel like that's too good to be true. My system code is 4305-6168-1521-4154.Neo wrote:K2J: I might very well take you up on that offer, since I don't think you can send a whole batch of stuff at once through the DS. Given the context, I'd say it was deliberate.

Re: What are you playing today?
There's a story behind the spelling of pmpous.
Just 'cause nothing's been added to the Abyss for an ice age doesn't mean we've all forgotten about it!
I beat Vanquish about a week ago, and then I beat it again. Not very long! It was good, stupid fun -- basically Gears on speed. I think the best feature was the quality of Burns' one liners. For example:
"More like getting good at looking like an asshole!"
and
"Thank God I'm an atheist!"

Re: What are you playing today?
Lots of Smash Bros. Brawl playing recently. Especially playing as Yoshi for some reason.
Re: What are you playing today?
We should all play Brawl. With each other. Over the internet. I mean, why the fuck not? I remember following the discussion topic in this forum along with the Dojo updates, but I never played against any of you. It is actually a fun game, though it'd be cumbersome to set up games via a forum.
So why don't we have an IRC channel again?

Re: What are you playing today?
I haven't really played Brawl that much besides matchmaking. Is it any better with codes?
Re: What are you playing today?
Well, it is in the sense that you're playing against people you know (somewhat better), and there's no unpredictable sudden lagging due to a recent joiner and stuff. You can customize the round all the way you want with rules, items and CPU characters, which I think you can't do in the matchmaker? So yeah, it's sort of better.

I'm down for some internet Buwawl. Remind me to look up my codes later.
Re: What are you playing today?
I don't think I'm allowed to talk about the game I'm playing today. D :
Re: What are you playing today?
Damn, beaten to the punchline.

I was going to edit my post in the online gamestation topic to include my friend codes and then link it here but then I realised THE FORUM STOPS LETTING YOU EDIT POSTS ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU FIRST SUBMIT THEM so I did the next best thing.
<-- Somewhere over here should be a little button with a planet on it, it's supposed to be a visual synonym of "Internet" for some reason. Click it and you should see a page where I just dumped all the friend codes I could think of so I never have to look for them again.

Wii: 4197 9291 0016 0757
Brawl: 2492 4548 3604
I'll add you two.
This past week I've been playing DJ Hero. I got bored easily when I was playing on Medium, but the move up to Hard made it for me. I like that there's setlists you pick from and play through in one go before returning to the menu screen as opposed to picking one song (or "mix" in this case) at a time. Every mix in the game is a mash-up between two songs that are either fairly well known and/or by one of the featured DJs (Daft Punk, DJ Shadow, and a few others). You have to switch back and forth at the appropriate time while pressing buttons on the turntable and scratching. It makes for a good experience that might not be on par with Elite Beat Agents, but reminds me of playing Guitar Hero I and II a few years back before that became what it is today.
