Since over the course of the year I sort of lost any sort of attachment to physical possessions, I didn't actually wish for anything and would not have minded at all had I not gotten everything.
Regardless my family got me a professional Canon camera, a few books, and a bit of money. I'm sure I will appreciate it and it will see much use.

My parents and grandmother sent me gift cards, which I received about a week ago. My bifskies bought me Dragon Age, which I've been working through the past couple of days. The best present I got was three days off from work.

I think you mean anything.

This year I got:
Phillip K Dick books
a portable scrabble set
and comic books.

My aunt gave me a bestbuy giftcard though so I may go pick up Mario Brothers this weekend.

Six books, Spirit Tracks, NSMB Wii and enough money to either buy a new camera with HD video or to make a PS3 (slim) a reasonable purchase. Anyone know where I can get one on the cheap? Maybe refurbished?

A bunch of stuff from my Amazon wishlist.
  • Akira vol.1 (twice, thanks to an Amazon cock-up).
  • Nausicaa vol. 4-7 (now I've finally got the whole collection after getting 1 volume each christmas for 3 years, since for some reason I never ended up just buying it myself).
  • Various CDs: The Boy and the Tree, Zero, and Distant Sounds of Summer by Susumu Yokota, The Berzerker by The Berzerker (laughs) and I also got myself Rage Against the Machine's Killing in the Name, to aid with the anti-X-Factor efforts.
  • Elite Beat Agents (holy shit why did I wait so long to get this?)
  • Looney Tunes Golden Collection vol. 4
  • PAL region FLCL collection (I only had two NTSC dvds of it before, not sure why I bought those...)
Things not from my wishlist:
  • Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth by Apostolos Doxiadis (looks like I'll get a fair kick out of it).
  • A "Forgotten English Words" 2010 calendar.
  • A rather nice scarf, two hats (one of which is very nice), and a pair of gloves.
All-in-all, more than I was expecting.

I also allowed myself a super-indulgent treat, seeing how much money I've earned lately, and ordered the Hidamari Sketch x365 Tokubetsu Hen Limited edition (my one concession to Japan's ridiculous pricing model for DVDs, spurred on mostly by my mad desire for this thing) from CDJapan, as well as all the main soundtrack CDs, since mostly they weren't actually that expensive.
Given those stupid Sonic figurines I got myself for my birthday and the rate I'm going in terms of nerdy obsession, I'll probably end up getting myself a dakimura next Christmas. :(

Let's see...

> new wallet
> three Delta Sonic "Free Oil Change" coupons
> new pair of pajamas
> new pair of jeans
> $15 Regal Cinemas gift card
> two $10 iTunes gift cards
> new backpack
> six-pack orange Crush soda
> $25 AT&T GoPhone card
> High Rhulian (book from the Redwall series)
> Michael Chrihton's (sic?) "State of Fear"
> a few boxes of various flavored tea bags
> $25 Amazon.com gift certificate
> recipie and supplies for making my own Lipton Diet Green Tea with Citrus
> approx. $370 in Christmas money

There were a few other, smallish bits too--many of my gifts were multi-part things (The backpack had something in each pocket, hence why my list seems so long), and parts of some of my stash have already been used up.

The equivalent of 26 American dollars and an amazing pair of blue striped white boxers. Hells fuckin' yeah.

An acquaintance of mine just got a PayPal account, so I'll probably get me the Japanese Anubis: ZOE Special Edition. Or hell, maybe even a working Dreamcast!! :D

Pretty cheap on-sale M-Audio 49-key MIDI keyboard and enough chocolate to last me until New Year's.

I hope it means I'm a sweet person.

Let's see, it was a pretty good year. I have lots of relatives, so:

"Batman: Black & White" comic book
"Jimmy the Smartest Kid in the World" comic book
"Dirty Dancing 20 year Special Edition" DVD
"3:14 to Yuma" DVD
two t-shirts
buttoned shirt
shoes
wooden box with Spiderman art on top
headlamp, for camping
whistle with compass, magnifing glass and thermometer
some plastic thing to put money and documents in it, so it won't get wet
a bookmark

I think that's it. I also bought myself Beyond Good & Evil and the Lucasarts Adventure Pack on Steam. And a dress for my mother, a purse for my sister, a Madeleine Peyroux CD for my father, the Conan X360 game for my brother and that Beatles Anthologies dvd-set for my girlfriend, and a custom t-shirt. But I still want a hula hoop.

Technically, I only got two sweaters, a shoe-sneakers, and some dollars - not taking into account anything I might receive from relatives when I get back home. Now, as for what I bought for myself:

-A USB drive
-A headphone
-One of those R4 cartridges that allow me to play downloaded games in the DS - which is good, because I doubt I'll ever find a copy of the first Ace Attorney game (and I'm seriously starting to consider the fourth one, too).
-And Phantasy Star Zero, which has so far been pretty fun. Thanks, Xyton!

From family - Malibu, wine, chocolate, shirt, socks, shower gel/aftershave sets and some money. Not really had the chance to exchange gifts with friends yet, maybe before New Year.

Highlights:

Star Trek: TOS season one on blu ray (Oh yeah!)
hardcover version of the miraculous journey of Edward Tulane (BOOYAH!)
aftershave
Two big bottles of Tabasco
A Sonic watch on the way from Malaysia
chocolate, Knudsen spritzers, a few other small but cool things.

Smashing Christmas really, however I have to wait two weeks to give my friends their gifts though, and it is driving me crazy!
