What isn't British slang for penis.

And there was me thinking they called it Bell Tower because it was full of Bellsprouts.

My girlfriend likes to fool around on Pokémon Silver between lectures. She hasn't taken to referring to my penis as my Bellsprout yet, though. It's either that, or I make crude reference to my Metapod using Harden.

"Penis".

It's not British slang for penis, it is penis.

Man! It weirds me out that circumcision is the NORM in the USA and not just a Jewish thing. Like, we're freaks because our parents didn't have doctors cut part of our cocks off. People defend it with arguments about cleanliness, but I'd argue back that anyone with access to clean water who doesn't know how to wash their own wang deserves knob rot.

I got my foreskin circumcised when I hit puberty (because of a genetic condition that meant it wasn't growing as fast as the rest of my cock and was gonna get split in two). So I guess you can say I've had experience of both worlds, and I definitely preferred the original model.

Wasn't circumcision invented by people who lived in deserts and didn't have enough water to wash out all the dust? (thus redundant for pretty much anyone living in a developed country in this day and age)

lol pokemon to penis in five pages

I thought about getting one for the pornstar look (and ease of use), but I've gotten quite attached to mine. Or, you know, the other way around.

Sometimes I think I'm the only uncircumcised American. I'm ok with that, though. My penis has been part of me for far too long for me to part with part of it.

But man, I just got the best idea for a movie title: The Last American Circumcision. Starring Michael Cera, probably. Tell me you wouldn't go see that. Because I wouldn't go see that. But you have to admit, it's a great title!

Oh, and I like Pokemon. Haven't played one through since Gold, though. Recently started up a game on Sapphire and is it just me or did each generation get progressively lamer Pokemon? Treecko, Chikorita and Mudkip (bleh) are so boring compared to the likes of Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle (fuck yeah).

It's more the fact that Generation III had some of the most uninspired/copied monster designs due to the whole lack of link to the earlier generations. Generation IV (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum) are a little better, but yeah, I think they've started getting a bit redundant. (Also, regarding the starters and HeartGold/SoulSilver, you can get not only a Johto starter at the beginning, but also a Kanto starter and a Hoenn starter at some point, but only one of each set. Kanto ones from Oak after getting 16 badges, Hoenn ones from Steven after defeating Red.)

I'm, as usual, playing through the game a lot slower than everyone else I know, mostly because I'm finding the Voltorb Flip game rather intoxicating. I've managed to work my way through the Ecruteak Gym mostly on Dragon Rage from a Dratini I earned from said minigame.

Charmander and Squirtle are lame.

Oh look, a dragon and a turtle. How inspiring.

Bulbasaur was the only first gen starter with a lick of creativity.

But we all know, tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FirstInstallmentWins.

Dude, I'm sorry. A dragon is more interesting than a chicken or a gecko. A squirrel/turtle hybrid is more interesting than a fucking mudskipper. I don't really care about originality or lack thereof; the generation 1 (starter) Pokemon just plain look cooler. And Squirtle was the best starter ever, to this day. And I will fight you over that.

Yeah, they definitely sound even lamer than they already are when you put it that way.

He's not a squirrel turtle hybrid. Depicting turtles with tails is common in eastern art. This is common amongst some species of turtle by resperate by turning their anus inside out and using it like a set of gills.

Dude, I'm sorry. A dragon is more interesting than a chicken or a gecko.
There were two dragons in Gen I - Dragonite and Charizard. They only looked slightly different from each other. And yet nobody harps on how "Dragonite is just a copy of Charizard.

Fuck. That. Noise.
First. Installment. Wins.

And your "squirrel turtle hybrid" is so much better. Lulz.

Ok. A turtle is still more interesting than a mudskipper.

And this has what to do with anything, exactly? A dragon is still more interesting than a chicken or a gecko. In fact, I'd argue that two dragons is TWICE as cool as a single chicken and/or gecko.

Yes, it is. You're too old to have nostalgia about any of these games but the first one, so why can't you see it my way, Zeta? Didn't we used to be friends!?

Dude, I haven't even played any Pokemon since Gold, all I was commenting on was the lameness of the Gen 3 starters in comparison to those in Red & Blue. It may well be that every other Pokemon n this game is fucking amazing, but I wouldn't know, because I've played all of 15 minutes of it.

e: looking back on my post, it seems to imply that I think all of the successive Pokemon are lamer. My bad. What I meant to say was "why does squirtle kick so much ass, but mudkip is so stupid and lame"

In general, after reading interviews, I think the problem is that they overthink the starters. They put 2 years into developing the starters into the Pokemon that will sell the most toys instead of just picking an idea and going with it. Because of this, I think a lot of better ideas were scrapped.

For instance, Cyndaquil was originally supposed to be a flaming bear and Totodile was supposed to be a sea-lion with kitty ears. Both of which I think were better than Cyndaquil and Chikorita. But they over-revise too much. As a result, a lot of the less important starter Pokemon in each generation are more interesting.

But I still think Charmander and Squirtle are lamesauce.

My opinions on the starters are this: Charmander and Squirtle are lame, because they're almost too simple. Totodile I don't like for the same reasons. Cyndaquil is creative but evolves into crap. Chikorita and Turtwig are uglier retreads of Bulbasaur. Treecko would be awesome if he didn't suffer from the same things all grass-types suffer from: Crap movepool. Chimchar is OK. Piplup looks great but like Cyndaquil, has evolutions that look like roadkill. I find Mudkip funny and inoffensive, even without the memeness. Like the idea of a fire-breathing cockfighting chicken, but wish Blaziken looked more like a chicken more than a dragon-man with chicken feet.

I like the simplicity. To me, Squirtle is a neat Pokemon with fun evolutions, and Mudkip is a terrible meme that was never even funny in the first place. But I think we can agree to disagree on this one because I'm probably not gonna play Pokemon again for another 5 years.

e: This (ancient) mspaint artifact sums up my responses to each set of starters quite nicely

Fuck you, Piplup and Chimchar rule. Though Empoleon sucks and Infernape doesn't. Gladiator monkey ftw.

Okay this just baffles me. You're stating these like they're common sense to anybody but I don't see how.

Dragons are overused fantasy monsters. Turtles are common.

Chickens are common animals but, in terms of being badass flaming fighting machines, you wouldn't expect one, would you?

Mudskippers are much less well-known animals than turtles.

I'll take a less obvious option over an obvious one, thankyou. If you happen to personally completely hate chickens, geckos, and mudskippers, and love turtles and dragons/salamanders then fine, but don't try to state it like an objective fact in a debate.

Also that stupid image is a massive and obvious fallacy that proves nothing.

Umm, dude we're arguing about Pokemon. I think you're taking this just a little bit too seriously. Of course that image proves nothing, I'm just saying that I can relate to it, because that's how I feel. I wouldn't expect chickens to be "badass flaming fighting machines," because chickens are dumb birds, but hey maybe that's just me.

This is hardly a debate. Yes, I happen to think Turtles and Dragons are cooler than geckos and chickens and mudskippers. That's all I'm saying. I'm not trying to convince anyone that their favorite Pokemon is dumb. I'm just trying to defend my statement that I think the later starter Pokemon are lame. It's just an opinion, and if you don't like it, I'm sorry.

I have no problem with your opinion, but you kept passing it off as fact. If that was not your intention then you need to be more careful about the way you phrase things.
