Re: The biggest news in this forum's history
Ataru's the pervert lead, right? Isn't IY's Miroku similar to him?

Sort of. Miroku's a lot more subtle than Ataru (though, strangely enough, he's also way more direct than old Moroboshi as well--forgoing the "date" question and going straight for the "sex plz" question), plus he finally settles for Sango in the final chapter of the manga, having MULTIPLE kids with her. Guess they must REALLY like the sex...

Man...
...I really, really, REALLY want this to be subtitled. It looks absolutely awesome.

The fact Megane and company aren't in it is a bit disheartening, but not to surprising considering what little role they had in the manga.

Not even a single scene where he shouts LAAAAAAAAAAAAAMUUUUUUUUUUUU at the top of his lungs? :(

Yeah, as awesome as it's going to be, it just won't feel quite complete without at least a few moments of Megane's hysterics. I don't think there's any Urusei fan on the planet who's so purist they would bemoan the inclusion of brother Meg. Why do they deny us?
Looks like it's going to have everyone else, though! I hope Oyuki has a speaking role!
I think the DVD is supposed to come out here early next year. I really, really, really, really, really regret not catching the debut in Sendai back in January. I'd spent all my money in Tokyo the week before. :(

Heh. Ranma 1/2 is awesome. Seen it and read it. I've seen a bit of UY but it's very hard to come around it here and I never bothered to look for it in the net. We do have Inu Yasha in Cartoon Network, and it makes a lot of success, but it never really appealed much to me.

Please, Gibbon, there's no need to reveal such shocking facts about yourself in the guise of quotes from other people. Just come out with it. We'll openly accept it.
Well, right after we laugh our asses off for a day or two, but then we'll probably not care!

I don't know what perverted me more in my childhood, if Ataru Moroboshi or Sembei Norimaki, 20 years later both are still my heroes.

Either way you are clearly a man of taste.THEbigLANDMAN wrote:I don't know what perverted me more in my childhood, if Ataru Moroboshi or Sembei Norimaki, 20 years later both are still my heroes.
