The beautiful mystery fan comic of the ninties

So I was reading through Koosh Koosh's Sonic CD fan comic, reveling in its quality when all of a sudden it hit me. Koosh Koosh's adaptation is not the only fan endeavor devoid of archie characters I have read. When I was a bit younger (maybe 6 or 7 years ago) I remember discovering this beautifully drawn, sega sonic inspired adaptation of Sonic 3 and the Death egg saga.

Hungry to confirm whether or not this fan comic was as great as I remembered, I rushed with google at my side to track it down. Nothing. Not a peep. It seems that in today's day and age, the only sonic fan comics online are terribly rendered orgies starring shadow and silver. Its likely that the work in question may no longer reside in the bowels of the internet at all. It could be that not a single fan had the foresight to save each and every lovingly crafted page for archival purposes. Here's hoping that's not the case.

So does anyone remember the comic I'm talking about? Or better yet, does anyone have it?

I don't know what you're talking about but there was a Sonic 2 fan comic by Bumlor and some girl he knew called The Sonic Ideal that I quite enjoyed. I don't think they ever finished all of it though. It was years ago.

I do recall reading a nicely drawn SEGASonic comic called "The Sonic Ideal" by Abigail Ryder. It featured Sonic and Tails racing in Green Hill, then meeting Robotnik. It was never finished, but I think the intention was to bring in the Death Egg at some point.

No, I dont have it, and I dont know where to find it.. which makes this reply pretty pointless. Sorry.

On the topic of decent fan-comics, I stumbled across a Sonic Adventure adaptation many years back, by a spanish artist. It's in black and white, but the artwork is pretty nice.

No, this is it. I guess the death egg was only alluded to. Looking up Ryder's website and deviantart wasn't very inspiring. Maybe my under developed brain at the time couldn't measure quality anyway. Still can't find the comic though!!!

Huh, I remember coming across this five or six years ago. The way that Sonic's personality was portrayed had me chuckling at several of the scenes. I'm surprised that the artist still hasn't made any progress since the last time I've read that fan comic.

Yeah, I remember the last thing I saw of her was some SA2 comic, about Sonic's birthday, and the introduction of Shadow and Rouge.
