It tastes alot like one of the monster cereals, sort of a cross between Boo Berry and Franken Berry. Maybe even a little Yummy Mummy in there, but it's been so long since I've had that I can't verify. It's way more successful than Chocolate Lucky Charms, which tasted like... Lucky Charms.

The color is the best part. It's a really rich fuschia that I don't think I've ever seen in a cereal before. It looks totally inedible so I love it.

Oh and the cereal looks dark brown to me, but that probably that particular picture's problem. Having it taste like a cross between Boo Berry and Franken Berry does make it sound tasty.

... Down here we still don't get berry-flavored cereals, or candy, or cookies, or anything (well, maybe some obscure cola brand but nothing else), though I once tried them some... uhh... 14 years ago, when I was living in Colombia.

Those two cereals are pretty hard to find. I've only had one box of Boo Berry during my twenty years on this earth. Never found Franken Berry though.

Really, where do you live? They were really hard to find for about a decade, but they reintroduced them at the turn of the century and I see them all the time now. Especially around this time of year because there's usually some Halloween promotion going on.

I'm actually not a stoner, but most people mistake me for one.

I live in Northern Virginia. My parents actually do grocery shopping at a commisary in a marine corp base. Maybe that has something to do with why I don't see those cereals.

So I've been living in Canada for a little while now. I've been living dangerously and sampling the local delicacies. Frosted Wheats proved bland and dry, and I couldn't finish the box of Cinammon Crackers-- that stuff carpets the teeth. But Golden Grahams seem to have a pleasant, mellow flavour to them that I may return to once the novelty of the sampling menu has expired.

Every time I'm in the US the huge variety of bright sugary breakfast food simply astonishes me. Even doughnuts. Doughnuts for breakfast - that shit's only okay if you're doing it to be ironic. I'll stick to Kellog's All-Bran.

The thing that always freaks me out is that Canadian and American Rice Krispies are completely different.

Bits of the American cereal are larger, crunchier, saltier... and almost hollow on the inside, like a shell. In Canada the grains are smaller, sweeter, and less crunchy, but denser as well... they have a firmer outside with a airier, spongier inside, like a bread loaf.

American Oreos taste different, too, and so does American Coke. In all three cases it's because they have different ingredients.

I totally didn't know about the international discrepancy between US and Canadian junk food. I'm curious now. How many different ways can you prepare Rice Krispies? Do the Krispy Treats taste any different? What about fast food like McDonald's and stuff?

Pop, Cap'n Crunch is the ultimate. It's expensive, but I'm fairly certain it's the best breakfast cereal on the market. Take it slow, though. You may want to ease into it with a box of King Vitaman, if you can find any. Golden Grahams are nasty.

King Vitamin used to be great! Now, well, not so much. Ever since they got rid of the photo of the old guy with a spoon crown on the box and changed the formula it just hasn't been the same.
