Thought you ought to know, you guys just got an award.

Remember that "Sonic Wrecks Awards" thing that I mentioned a few weeks ago? Well, you came in second under FastFeet Media for what you were originally nominated for (Best Sonic Resource).

HOWEVER! I have some good news: ArchAngelUK has just seen fit to award this place one of two special "Silver Hand" awards, for what AAUK calls "longevity and consistency", among other good things.

So. Yeah. Celebrate and stuffs. Woot. (He'll be sending an e-mail your way shortly.)

AAUK doesn't have a full list of the winners on Sonic Wrecks...yet. That should be up within the next couple days, I assume. I do, however, have a couple of links for reference:

http://www.sonicwrecks.com/radio/archive/209.php
^ the podcast which names all the awards / award winners.

http://z13.invisionfree.com/EchoNET/ind ... t=75&#last
^ List of the award winners, compiled by myself after listening through the whole 4+ hour-long show. I have ensured that there are no significant errors (apart from not being able to tell a name or two, but they didn't make it into the voting anyway).

Wait, are you trying to tell me that a Sonic community beyond the GHZ still exists?

And they still give awards?

Next thing I know you'll try to tell me that people still like this series as opposed to never-ending cynicism and bashing. Geesh.

I run this site. Thanks for the award. I'll add it to all my other awards. For running this site.

I'll give you cash if you dress up as Big the Cat and do whatever I say for a night.

Also congrats on getting a pointless banner, The GHZ! May it shine ever so brightly on a page no one looks at.

How many other fandoms set up fan sites specifically to give awards to other fan sites? I really want to know!

All of the big ones, I would assume. There are probably like 08968756746352451356789 Harry Potter award sites.

I've never heard of half of these other sites. But I'm fairly certain they suck.

I know for a fact that The Sonic Stadium does, at least.

I'll sleep with you, but I won't wear a fursuit.

Honestly? Pretty much all of them.

You should see all the awards that webcartoonists invent to give each other! Everyone loves a good backpatting session.

Well, the only other "significant" one that I know of is the Sonic Wrecks Awards themselves, which originate from the net-award-winning webcomic "Sonic Wrecks" and are described as the leadup of sorts to the Sonic Site Awards (held by The Sonic Stadium).

So, now you know. Or don't know. Either way, this place won something.
