Robotnik costume

Post by Opa-Opa »

I've got a big Heroes & Villains costume party coming up, and have decided to go as the classic Dr. Eggman from Genesis games. Thing is, I am not anything close to fat, so I've gotta find an easy way to look fat. The other catch is that the party will be during this big trip, so I can't carry many things.

But I want it to be as accurate as possible.

Help me and I'll post pictures in a month if it turns out any good.

Well, first you're going to have to shave your hair...

I suggest lots of that thick foam padding stuff. Just wrap it around in layers.

Either wear a fat suit or stuff a pillow in there.

You might want to find some fitting glasses, too.
Don't forget to show some pictures later- both yours and from your friends.

Well, you can always try and modifity a Santa suit. It's already red and big enough to accompany a large stomach. As for fat, I suggest a bucket of lard or a pillow. Either one is good.

So I guess he doesn't want to become fat, only to look fat. That said, I couldn't get out with any ideas so just eat like crazy... or ask "teh guy" here:

I actually know that guy. Sorta. He's the brother of someone who was a friend of mine at some point. It looks sorta like he's got a hula hoop in there, though. So try that.

Hmm... I'm particularly thinking about the Santa thing.

About the hair thing, I'll try to find some of those fake bald things, but those are kinda hard to come by...

Damn this will be hard.

I was thinking about maybe doing Eggman's mobile to hide my lack of fatness.

Ooh, an Egg Mobile costume would kick several flavors of ass if done properly.

I'm ashamed to say that I've been to some of these places and met some of these people.

... Do they speak english, or some unknown, archaic 御宅 l33t speech?
Just kidding; a good bunch of this kind of people are actually normal XP .

So, any real ideas about the Eggman-to-be? It's puzzling, and I want a pic really bad.

It has begun. It's still very rough, I know. But the raw stuff is there.

I know at least one of those buttons is temporary, but if you could somehow get real buttons (big huge round ones--or not even actual buttons, since they wouldn't be functional) I think it'd add a certain 3-dimensional reality to your costume that you won't get with everything being made of fabric.

Just use painted bottle caps for the buttons, is cheap and it will look great....

This is not what we would call a "good" urge.

Man, I completely forgot to post pictures!

Here it is. One of the buttons had already fell off because... well, it was a great party.

And this is what happens when you beat Mario 64 with Eggman.
