Samba 2000

Post by Green Gibbon! »

Wanna buy it? It's only $2500, not including shipping and freight charge. That's actually not a bad price, but it's not a bad price in the same way you'd look at a yacht and think: "Hey, that's not a bad price."

I finally got some loans approved, so I have about $3000 coming in. I'll need about 2/3 of it to graduate, but damn it's tempting. Hey Pop, you're the spoiled rich kid. Why don't you make your parents buy it for you?

I got 5000 dollars in the bank, but I am guessing my parents would kill me if I spent 3000 of it on a big ass arcade that we could not fit anywhere in our house. Especially since I start college in the Fall, which is gonna cost 10K a year. It is tempting even though I never really played the DC version despite spending however much money it was I spent on the maracas and game.

I once saw a VOOT machine going for a similar amount, and I with a similar amount in savings. I was so tempted I had to call a friend right then to talk me out of it. I don't know where I'd put the thing anyway.

...That is damn tempting. I wouldn't have room for it in my dorm though. I saw a Brave Firefighter machine for $4800, and that was tempting too.

Iniitial D Version 3 is $8,000...per side....

Think I could sell 10 ft. of my intestines for $16,000?

Or should I just go ahead and rob the Arcade through the cunning use of a panda on a rope and velcro straps?

Too bad you couldn't afford English classes.

You know it's bad when a chink corrects your English.

Over two thousand dollars?

I guess buying the maracas for Samba de Amigo for Dreamcast *was* a good deal after all!

I'm moving out in a couple weeks, and the obvious question has arisen: Do I leave my my Dreamcast and maracas here, or take them with me, in the hope that I can impress chicks with them?

Definately take them. Beat games are one of the few genres that everybody seems to like.

I would so totally buy that if I had the money. I'm having a hard time myself trying to get $3,000 loan for a video camera.

This reminds me: does anyone remember that Sonic contest that was going on with Spaghettios? You could win any number of prizes, including (at the very top) a game display with a Genesis and Sonic 2 (and 3?).

Was that prize actually won? And if so, has it ever been seen on eBay?
