So now we finally have the face of the new Joker.

http://ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com

I think it's the most bizarre interpretation of the Joker I've seen. As a child I was afraid of Jack Nicholson and his enduring laughter in the end of the Batman movie, but this one is just plain horror.

Somehow I think it will turn out great.

I don't know. It looks pretty disturbing and creepy but it just doesn't really look like the Joker. That said it's only an early teaser pic and I'm waiting until we see more before making any major judgements. I think it will at least be an interesting take on the character though.

Harvey Dent is Two-Face. Where am I supposed to see the Joker? Or is it supposed to be J defacing the poster with his image?

You have to wait a little while, The graffiti-ed Harvey Dent picture eventually changes into a picture of the Joker.

For the Delphines amongst us.

I think he looks fucking awesome. Nolan is one of the finest directors working today and Batman Begins was one of the best action movies I've ever seen. My faith in the sequel is invincible. >:---(

Second'd. I'd want my money back if the Joker didn't make me want to shit myself and cry at the same time, although I'd probably cry out of the sheer humiliation of shitting myself in the cinema.

Although it would be dark.

ANYWAY. It looks killer rad. Thumbs up.

Possible joker face spoiler:

People are saying that he only gets that mangled up face a little later in the movie when Batman cuts a zipline that then lashes into the Joker's head.

I think it looks fuckin cool

I dunno... regardless of what the movie Joker looks like, that's a terrible shot to reveal him. It's inclear if he's got a Misfits thing going on, or if it's just the lighting. From this angle, the scarring thing looks a little over-the-top. Maybe it's the fact that Heath Ledger in white makeup would look unremarkable without the scars. Maybe I just need to see HeathJoker smiling.

Anyway, I like the idea, but I'll need to see footage of Ledger's performance before I can say if this Joker works or if they fucked him up. I do like that their going more for 'insane serial killer' than 'clown', though.

I'm not sure what to make of it just yet. I hope they manage to keep the Joker's charisma and sense of humour. He should be scary, but much of that scariness should come from how genuinely funny he is and the disconnect between his appearance and his actions. And they damn well better not give him any real backstory.

Basically, the closer to The Animated Series the better.

His lips give me Pan's Labyrinth vibe during that one scene where the soldier (who's name escapes me) had to sew his own cut mouth. Creepy, which considering the character works.

It was Capitán Vidal, the main villain.

Wouldn't it be more effective if the Joker had vandalized Harvey Dent's site instead of his own?

Ooo. Scary.

True @ Silver.

I never bought into the idea that the Joker should actually be funny or charming to the audience. I think he is far scarier if he isn't joking or anything, just simply finds violence and torture to be humorous.

Also, I really like the leaked picture.

I can't say anything until I see the sadistic grin. And if there's no sadistic grin, there's no Joker.
