Apparently, the news comes around 11PM. Talk about a wait. >_>;

It'd be NICE if Nintendo actually put this up on the site itself, though... ya know?

Word on the street (the street being Nintendo Power's official forum) is that the supposed "update" includes a new daily blog by the guy who's making the game.

"Japan days" ironically enough when translated from Japanese means infinity. There is no real news. They got us good!

Orite, and there might be something popping up in there around 11PM EST, which is about noontime in Japan.

I am deeply disappointed in the site now. Almost 1AM and STILL nothing.

Nintendo is holding a big press shamboozle tomorrow at 9AM PST.

Sounds like their countdown counted down a day early. Ha!

We've allowed Nintendo to gain too much power. They've changed the definition of 'today.' At this rate, by Tuesday it will be Thursday. By Wednesday it will be August, and by Thursday it will be the end of existence as we know it!

The site sucks ass. Oh boy, a fucking blog post teaching us how to play a game whose mechanics are exactly the same as its two predecessors.

The only mildly interesting thing on the site is the retardedly long list of composers working on the game. It's like a moshpit of two dozen different people, of which the only real standout names are Noriyuki Iwadare, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Yuzo Koshiro.

Well, the site's up but there's nothing particularly interesting there. There's a few new screenshots and a list of musicians that are contributing to the game and that's about it. Can't say I'm overly surprised. I had feeling this would end up being a bit disappointing.

The only decent thing there is the music clip for Battlefield. Its a fairly good tune.

Otherwise, disappointment. Let's hope tomorrow brings something decent.

Am I the only one excited about the huge ass composer list? It's a musical ensemble cast of sweetness. However, it would be more awesome if Sakimoto was on board.

It's encouraging to see some Sega composers in there, at least.

It's not that running a blog with daily updates about the game's development isn't a neat idea -- because it is! But the gradual release of information isn't really the sort of thing that merits a countdown.

Yeah, I always thought a week-long countdown generally meant some kind of REALLY BIG news, and not just a new blog.

Oh well, at least it updates 5 times a week. Maybe we'll FINALLY get some new character info now.

After all the hype that Nobuo Uematsu would be involved (starting with the theme from the E3 trailer), I couldn't help notice his name isn't on the list.

Well, he already did the main theme, you know.

Sweet! Yuzo Koshiro!

Oh wow, the guy who did the music for Chelnov is working on this. That's a serious mindfuck there- as far as I can tell, that was one of the most obscure games on the Genesis, never thought he'd turn up here.

That's the only worthwhile thing to come out of all this.

Another update. Again, nothing special--just some stuff on Mario and Link.
