So. They're redoing the Handicap bits.

...okay, so I can't think of anything else to say about that.

I hope that number can go crazy-high. All-999% matches would be hilarious (in moderation).

I'd assume so, but then it'd kind of neuter the point of having a "Super Sudden Death" option in Special Brawl, wouldn't it?

I suppose, although Special Brawl's just a bunch of options you set yourself nowadays.

More importantly, though, this might bring up the opportunity to select just how much HP you get in Stamina mode. Which would be good; I liked that mode in Melee, but it kind of sucked that you had no control over how those matches were handled. Or that there was no victory screen once it was finished. Ideally you'd get more versatility with Stamina mode...

Speaking of Stamina mode, it'd be awesome if you could have a number of "rounds" to any given match (ie: you have to win two rounds before the victory screen appears). Play it in Stamina Mode and tada! You instantly have Capcom Fighter Mode. Who'd've thunk.

Or any other character post 16-bit. I think the only characters I would accept from Capcom would be Megaman or Ryu (maybe Sir Arthur), but of course, Megaman would be a lot cooler.

I also believe Geno is a dumb idea, or any other Square character. Unless they REALLY had to put some Square character.

Right now, I'm just waiting for the Balloon Fighter update.

EDIT: This guy could be pretty cool too.

The update today, revealing the music from Meta Knight's level, uses the exact piece of music I knew they were going to use from Kirby Super Star. I didn't expect a jazz version of it, though.

Yeah, it is a fairly nice remix.

There's also a post reiterating Meta Knight's Special moves with a bit more detail today.

The Shuttle Loop was taken from Birdon in Kirby's Super Star.

As far as a another third-party character is concerned, I'd like to see someone that nobody would expect. Like Isuka said, Viewtiful Joe is a character that is legit and isn't anticipated by the masses. Ryu Hayabusa is also legitimate if could consider the original Ninja Gaiden trilogy on NES.

This Spectator mode is quite bizarre and unexpected. The betting aspect is cute, though there's not much to go by really. Maybe they could give the player control of the camera and the ability to take more snapshots just to make it a little bit interactive? I personally won't get much use out of it, none of us here will really, but it's nice to know that they're at least thinking of new things to do with the game that don't inerfere with the anything.

What would be really interesting is if they utilised this mode to broadcast official Nintendo tournaments somehow.

I wonder if the amount of coins you get is just double/triple of the amount you bet, because if you get coins depending on who bets against you it could make things pretty interesting.

Spectator mode would be great if you knew which person is playing which character.

Hey, in the picture with the stickers... anyone notice that the one on the far right is Silver?

I did.

It looks like the list of stickers there goes Nintendog > Ike > Ike > ??? (I think it's Gray Fox) > Toad > Silver.

Eeh, I couldn't tell very well. Still interesting to FINALLY have some Sonic-related material other than screenshots in the game, though.

Silver's a shocker. Not only does he represent the series at its lowest, but he's also never been on Nintendo anything.

Or maybe he's there because they're implying the two are related...

Silver was a multi-playable character in Sonic and the Secret Rings.

...yeah I almost forgot he was there, and I wish Sega(and Sakurai) forgot he existed also.

Secret Rings forgot it had a multiplayer mode.

I really like the Spectator Mode addition, although I can't imagine using it too much. Still, my roommates and I used to bet on reruns of GUTS (until we realized we'd seen them all), so it's a fun extra mode.

With so much time left for updates before the game's release, I can't imagine what other little extras will be revealed - I probably would have been happy enough with just wi-fi play and the stage builder mode, so all of these neat additions are just extra icing.
