Trailers showed Sonic as playable in SSE when he was first announced.

It seems that people in Hong Kong got the game early and they're in the process of ripping it as they go along. Marth is the prize for completing SSE. Luigi was just unlocked as well.

Possibly you have to play through it multiple times. Or Marth was gotten for playing through ONE of the storylines, like Meta-Knight and Ike's.

EDIT:

- He played through Classic mode once with Kirby on normal difficulty and unlocked Marth.
- When you choose your character in the select screen, their voice comes out of the Wiimote speaker.
- There are 10 events to start off with

Yes. Pretty much every leaker online all agreed with one roster, from Serebii to Chaos Zero.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Link, Young Link (Wind Waker), Zelda/Sheik, Ganondorf, Samus, Pit, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Pokemon Trainer, Lucario, Kirby, Dedede, Meta-Knight, Ness, Lucas, Captain Olimar, Fox, Falco, Wolf, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watch, Captain Falcon, Ike, Marth, Snake, Sonic, and R.O.B.

Everyone didn't want to believe it because it had ROB instead of Ridley. And now they're all cursing at him for daring to make ROB a playable character and blaming ROB as the single reason there aren't 50 characters. I don't get fanboys sometimes. But still, nice to see all of the original characters from the last made it in, aside from Mewtwo.

Marth: No name yet, does a FE-style attack where he hacks away at the enemy's life meter (which appears from FE).

Here's a better pic of Green Hill Zone. It's ideal for Sonic's gameplay style. Wide but with ramps to pop him in the air and keep him from rolling off the sides.
