Shadow the Hedgehog 2 announced

Post by cjmcray »

Just so everyone knows: this is a hoax.

It was recently reported via 1up.com, that a sequel to Shadow the Hedgehog is in the works for the 360 and Ps3.
1up.com wrote: Takashi Lizuka: "We are very excited to announce another game starring one of the Sonic franchises most popular villains, Shadow the Hedgehog.

The first game was a huge success in sales, and so we have all been trying to think of another chapter for Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow
has proven to be a very marketable villain, whose rebellious attitude, and violatile nature appeals to young boys.

The first game had Shadow asking the question "Who Am I?" and trying to uncover the secrets to his past. Now, content with leaving the past behind, Shadow has become a drifter, traveling from town to town on his motorcycle, the Red-X, looking for adventure.

He is shocked to see a member of the Black Arms in a local tavern, attacking all of its residents. As the game unfolds, Shadow sees that the Black Arms have returned, headed by Black Doom's teenage daughter, who is thristy for revenge. Shadow must journey to a strange Ancient Land, and find out the secret of the Black Arms origin. the only way to open the gateway to the land is by acquiring all seven Chaos Emeralds, and so, Shadow's newest adventure has begun."

Early footage shows that Shadow has a new "rage meter" which allows him to go ballistic and let out a flurry of attacks, as his fists turn into fire.

From the looks of the video, you can aquire outfits for Shadow, such as bulletproof G.U.N vests, and reverse-polarity boots.

PowerMan5000 sings the theme to the game "Never Stop Me"

Shadow the Hedgehog 2 is for Xbox360 and Playstation 3, and hits shelves Spring 2008.

The fire-fist things sounds cool, I just hope he ditches the stupid guns.

PowerMan5000 returning doesn't fill me with much hope, though.

Maybe this game will be better than the original. MAYBE.

I wonder if the same CG crew is onboard..

I'm guessing that's an early logo. Remember how Sonic Adventure 2 had the chrome logo, and then updated to the Sonic/Shadow spinballs logo?

Yeah. This is like making fun of someone who just died. You just can't do this type of things. It's such bad taste.

It wasn't supposed to make you laugh, it was moreso supposed to make you shit your pants in horror and scream 'noo!' very loudly.

You remember the old logo from that Walk of Game video? I actually liked that. It looked more like a stilyzed doodle of Shadow than this tribal tattoo we got in the end.

Rub sand in my almost closed wounds, thanks.

On the other hand it was a good try.
