"Completed" implies that something existed already, which could have been either Biolizard or Shadow. Completed could even mean that Shadow was already done and Gerald just programmed him to carry out his revenge. Besides, if Gerald gave him these memories to motivate him to destroy the world, why would he insert an apparently repressed memory of Maria begging Shadow to save the world?
