It can't possibly be that hard for Sega to figure out where the problem lies when the only Sonic games that do well are the ones not developed by Sonic Team. Case in point, Rivals seems to be getting substantially better reviews than the 360 game.

Sonic Team really needs to stop making Sonic games. Just fork the whole franchise over to the hands of a development team that's marginally competent.

I keep on saying that the best thing to happen to the SEGA characters and franchises would be if they just sold them to Nintendo. All of them.

Jet Set Radio, Sonic, Virtual Fighter, Ristar, Crazy Taxi, Monkey Ball, NiGHTs, Phantasy Star, Billy Hatcher, Puyopuyo, House of the Dead, Samba de Amigo, Space Channel 5, Burning Rangers, Alex Kidd, Chu Chu Rocket, Panzer Dragoon, and Virtual Striker would all be owned by people who would A) Handle them competently, and would B) Spread out the sequels to each one so we don't get a shitty Sonic game each year and hear absolutely fucking nothing from all the other franchises.

Eh, if they get any hint it'll be to just keep releasing the same old tripe on Nintendo machines.
So, the most interesting thing on this list to me would be this entry:

Code: Select all

Title Developer Label Publisher
PHANTASY STAR UNIVERSE TOTAL ENTERTAINMENT SEGA SEGA
Who is Total Entertainment?

I don't know, but I'm almost postitive they didn't develope PSU. It's probably a mistake.

Sonic Team developed PSU, at least thats what it says every time I boot up the game. Either that or it was Dolby Digital...

At the same time though I think there's plenty of cases where games haven't credited the "true" development team at start up and they've only been mentioned in the credits. An example of this is DIMPS with the Sonic Advance games and Rush.

Not saying that it's not a mistake after all, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if development was handled externally.

Or Aspect with the Sonic Game Gear games. I didn't even know who they were until this year.

You have to beat the single player game to find out it was

all along. Suffice to say, almost nobody knows.

How is the single player anyway? I've been meaning to play it, or at least create a freaking game save so I don't have to deal with the game telling me it can't find a save every time I load the game. Also I wouldn't mind those easy 1000 achievement points to boost my sexy gamerscore.

General consensus: more fun than PSO's, but still sort of lame. Also, terrible voice acting/story.

Can you mute the sound, or do you have to mute the TV to not hear anything?

Looks like the bastard offspring of a rabbit fucked by the Chesshire Cat.

I've always thought of it more as a bastard bat/fairy hybrid who's running away from home to travel to LA to become an actress, only to find out that she can't make it and ends up being forced into a life of prostitution.

I've never seen the picture clearly enough to see the vapid stare from the creature's eye. I used to like it, but now I definitly do not.

I dunno, the thing'd be kinda cute if it wasn't for the freakishly large muzzle.

I wonder if they ever planned on making a game with that critter in it?

It's probably just a "TT". Please note how the 'T's are drawn in the actual name.

I always thought that thing was walking. Turns out it's a lazy ass resting by a tombstone. Some traveler.

I dunno about lazy, it's probably the tombstone on the grave of some franchise it just killed!

I always wondered the same thing.

"T.T. the Fairy/Cat/Mouse/Bat in Backpacking Through Fantasy Fantasyland" or something.
