What of the Ico team, incidentally? Have they starved to death yet?
They just announced, in an advertisement in Fumitsu looking for new staff, that they're working on a PS3 game, similarly to how Shadow of the Colossus was semi-revealed in 2003 or something.
Was I really the only one to hate RE4?
I think so. I can't think of many more universally-adored crowdpleasers.

I probably have more merchandise for RE4 than any other game ever... I loved it, but I've yet to play through it a second time because I keep on letting people borrow it.

Actually, RE4 is one of only two games I've bought in the last couple of years that I've played through more than once. (The other being SOTC.) I think it's a masterpiece.

A masterpiece would have had less retarded dialogue. But yes, it was pretty awesome otherwise!

RE4 is the only RE game I've ever liked.

You can say SOTC was a masterpiece.

Maybe the story pacing was a bit odd but did the gameplay also feel slow to you??? Did you own the game or play it at a friends house for an hour? That game has you clutching your one shotgun shell for dear life as you run through mobs of angry Spaniards. It's anything but slow.

Yes, I owned the game (sold it to get Ikaruga, which I LOVE). The whole damn thing just felt rather slow.

I guess if you only play games that rely on twitch reflexes like hardcore 2d fighters and space shooters that would make sense, but otherwise it doesn't. You don't exactly turn at the speed of light but that's part of the game's design, other than that you're constantly picking off enemies with precision shots and having to keep an eye out for attacks from all angles, you're always kept busy.

It's really about time Capcom show something of RE5 again. I assume it'll be at E3 (okay, "E for all") but come on, the last time it was shown was TGS 2005 or something. Makes me wonder if there's development problems and confusion about the direction it should take like with 4... except this time Mikami wont be around to jump in and save the project.

I repeat: I sold it to get Ikaruga.

I love 2D shooters, 2D fighters, FPS games, and platformers. I could just not get into RE4.

You know there's a run button, right? It surprises me how many people claim to have overlooked that.

Oh well. I'm not going to buy it again.

You're a heartless fucktard.

Anyways, the bad dialogue is what endeared me to the game, as it was like that single sloppy brush stroke on a vase that reminds you that it is a handcrafted thing of beauty.

Looks like nothing since software shares for the PSP are through the floor.

Well, seeing as they showed too much of RE4 too early - ending up redesigning the game and concept 4 times - I can understand them taking their time with this one. Not to mention they probably don't want anyone ripping off any of their ideas as Cold Fear did shortly before RE4's release.

Of course they won't, because EA currently has the rights to Marvel fighting games.
EA? the only good thing they do is sport games...
