Earthworm_Jim_fan on those forums is the most tragic person ever. I predict he will be Jeffrey Dahmer Part Two.

The first two Earthworm Jim games were some of the best titles the 16-bit era had to offer in terms of atmosphere and personality, and the gameplay wasn't too shabby, either. And after such a promising beginning, it's been a huge disappointment that the franchise crashed and burned in the awkward 32-bit era the way it did. So, yeah, a back-to-the-roots installment for the PSP is sounding pretty perfect. I hope they're able to get funding.

Funny everyone is being optimistic, this is a 2d game on a system made by sony. So this be the equivelent of castlevania symphony of the night, a good 2d game that nobody will here/care about because:
A. sony keeps quite about it in fear of making their system looking inferior beccause it's 2d.
B. because it's not some kind of bloody shooting game in 3d, w/ rappers and cursing, so no one will be interested.
So I'd recomend u buy it before it's gets disconyinued and sold on E-Bay for high prices(or stock up on them and sell them on E-bay for high prices
)

In other news, there will be a Power Stone collection for the PSP, with both games and extra minigames and such, as well as the ability to play as all the characters in Power Stone 2 in the original Power Stone. So, y'know, awesome. Admittedly, a real sequel would be much more awesome, but I'll take this as it's the only chance we'll have of playing another PS game in any form for now. 'Sides, whenever I played one I always thought about playing the other, so this will be doubly convenient.

Also: fucking banana.

I wish the Power Stone Collection were coming to any other console aside from PSP, because that means I'm going to have to buy one just for this game. Oh Power Stone, how I love thee.

Let us hope against hope that Jim is not given an "anime style" redesign. Or that he becomes some kind of gritty future super soldier.

*shudder*

God please don't let this suck. I've waited too long for it to suck.

I doubt something like that would happen. Doug TenNapel has a fair bit of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Tenna ... tegrity</a>.

EWJ for PSP? Nope, still don't want one.

Granted, I think that brings the count of "Games I could want" up to 4...

Doug hates anime, so that's not going to happen.

Honestly, I'd be more excited about this if he didn't work on the godawful Catscratch show recently on Nickelodeon.

These days, I'm used to seeing my favorite franchises get raped beyond recognition, so I'm just preparing for the worst. I got really excited for EWJ3D, and look how that turned out(I still think it had a cool concept though. And the writing was actually pretty funny).

And yes, Catscratch is shite. I hope that isn't an omen...
