If no one paid it'd be physically impossible to keep the place running. I've never understood why people are so bothered about a one time fee but whatever I guess.

Not only that, but 15 bucks or whatever it costs really isn't a lot of money at all. The only reason I didn't sign up is because I hate forums that have so many people that it really isn't a community. You make a post, then you come back 5 hours later to see the replies and theres 15 pages worth and none of the posts really had an impact since the thread moves too fast.

Buying my Something Awful forums account was the best $10 I've ever spent. Ever.

I'm going to hate myself for asking this, but what exactly IS Something Awful?

I think it has a great sense of community, The Goon population has gotten behind many good causes. I have never found so many people in one spot that share the same interests as me. Sure, you don't recognize some posters, and the threads move pretty fast, but everything else more than makes up for it.

Best 10 bux I ever spent.

I prefer the slower, laid-back, openly retarded atmosphere of the GHZ. "Dare to be stupid, because it isn't costing you a dime!"

You just described about 75,000,000 places in Great Britain alone, not to mention my large intestine. You mind getting a little more specific there?

You might want to get that intestine of yours checked out.

What, are you French or something? What's wrong with blessing 75,000,000 places in Great Britain?

Because it's endless.
Mental journal en route to j-man's house:

Hills, lot's of grass and fields.
Hills, lot's of grass and fields.
Hills, lot's of grass and fields.
Hills, lot's of grass and fields.

repeat for an hour and you get the picture.

Where the fuck did I misuse an apostrophe?

Edit: Fuck that, I'm human, I'm allowed to make the odd mistake.

Why the hell would you spell it 'whoa'? That looks more like 'who ah'!

I'd spell it "whoa" because THAT'S THE PROPER FUCKING SPELLING OF THE WORD.

Ponce.

Wait a second...

"Sodding," "Ponce," "Bugger," "Bloody," "Git..."

Oh, Christ on a cracker...I'm British.

And? Like being British is a great thing. Well, apart from the fact I get to meet Joel Veitch now and then.
