So is anyone buying the 360 tonight or planning on getting it in the near future assuming they can get a hold of one? I was planning on it, but after looking at the launch lineup the only games that interest me are Kameo and Perfect Dark kinda sorta. Plus I have a feeling as soon as the PS3 comes out it'll drop a 100 bucks, then again that may be another year.
This will actually be the first console since the N64 that I haven't bought at launch, and in that case it was only because I was too young to work and had no money. Of course I have no money now either, but I don't think it would affect my decision.
If it were sphere-shaped, I would totally have preordered one with all the accessories, especially the stand that prevents it from rolling off the shelf.
My roomate is actually camping outside of the nearest Wal-Mart right now in the cold and the rain so he can get one. This is not normal activity of him and even he realizes how retarded he's being, so I have no idea what he's thinking really.
People did far worse things for the biggest piece of shit hardware ever to grace our console universe. It was probably also the most popular piece of hardware.
Remember hearing about kids in New Jersey getting mugged for their PS2's and shit?
I'm not planning to buy it. Like the first Xbox before it, XBox 360 is not a system I am currently interested in. Currently, I'm just sticking with my PS2 and Gamecube and hopefully, I can save enough money for a DS sometime in the future.

Heh there is already a report of armed robbery of the X360.
Also, I heard that there were an overload of people just lining up(not just Timestones' roomate) early yesterday around various places that will sell the X360. Oy!

Don't you put down doing shit for no good reason. I camped out at 4am for the launch of Halo 2. Despite my intentions, i still brought the game and still don't have an Xbox.
But at least i can now withstand intense cold, vital skills when you need to use the British train service late at night daily.

Maybe Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Project Gotham Racing 3 and whatever else is coming out at launch may not interest you, but I'm sure that there are others who are very interested in these games to buy the console.
My friends camped out for their 360's... Only one of them is actually going to keep it, and the rest will sell their's for inflated prices on eBay. Why buy a system at launch when there are no great games, when you can wait awhile for something good to come out for it and pay less for it? I mean, there's a guaranteed price drop in a few months on the 360 when the PS3 comes out, so the only reason I can think of to buy a 360 right now is to be a show-off-cunt-force.
I'm going to get it at the UK launch. No camping outside stores for me though, I'll just waltz to my local store and ask for one from the back as I hand over me pre-order receipt, skipping all the way home to plat PGR3 on my HDTV over Xbox Live. Now all I need is a big comfy leather recliner with cup holder and copious amounts of beer to place in said holder while I play :)
