I'd like to see a remake of "Rise of the Robots". I know the original was pretty bad, but it did have a pretty cool atmopshere going, and storywise, it had tremendous potential.
That was actually released, it just never got a home port. Did anyone get a chance to play that?
I played it once or twice. It doesn't feel anything like the original Space Harrier except for the way you feel a little disconnected from the background, like it's hard to tell where exactly you are until you're dead from running into something. Being in real 3D space also makes aiming your shots even harder than it was before. I'm sure given time it becomes more enjoyable but I didn't really like it. I would probably want to watch a movie or something to confirm this first, but the game also doesn't feel nearly as fast, you aren't running along the ground all the time anymore so the backgrounds don't whizz past like they did in the first game.

Pfft. It's all about a real sequel to One Must Fall: 2097, not that Battlegrounds stuff.
Actually, any Apogee stuff would make great DS games. Halloween Harry, Monster Bash, Death Rally, Raptor, Commander Keen. A nice Tyrain remake / port would be nice. It's been tried, i hear.
Burning Rangers is a fantastic premise but the original game, whilst it had its charms, was just so rough. It was too ambitious for the technology at hand and too short and unrefined. In a couple of years from now, when everyone's gotten used to developing for the new systems, it might be time to attempt a sequel.
