Speaking of parents, something horrible happened to me a couple of days ago.

So I remember my dad used to like Burger Time on the Intellivision. He was passing by my room and I happened to be playing Burger Time on mame, so I called him in to see it thinking maybe it's one of the two topics of conversation we could discuss and not disagree on.

He was a bit more excited than I expected. He immediately begins barking out (the actually quite sound) advice that I should lure the enemies to the top of the screen, and he mentioned some ladder-climbing technique or something. When I died and he regained his composure, he casually mentioned that he used to be able to get to level 7... I got to level 2 on my last life and was proud of it.

It was unsettling for me on a couple of different levels. For one thing, my perception of the game industry's age is askew... I mean, I knew the earliest arcade games date back to the mid 70's (most of them have been dumped, but they usually lack sound), but now that I think about it, my dad must've played alot back then. Now it seems that the industry is older than I perceived, my dad is younger than I perceived, or I'm older than I perceived. I don't particularly like any of the three.

It's sort of like the time I found those old shurikens he used to use when he was in karate. I find it difficult to imagine that my bald, underachieving, redneck, mail carrier father was ever that cool. It's even more frightening to imagine that that might one day be me.

It's just horrible.

Is that from Ghost in the Shell, maybe?

Probably Daphine in the Brillant Blue or any of the Divergence Eve series. I'm probably wrong, but it looks like material that would usually be seen in those shows. =P

And about Sgt. Frog where are the fansubs for this show already? Matt Wilson from Toonzone has been raving about this show from sometime and he like, hates everything.

I've no idea but I've absolutely fallen in love with the manga.

*ears prick at the sound of herds of free-roaming, grazing hentai*

Ah, Double-Yoo-Bee's in the hizzle. The board just got a whole lot sexiuh. o.~

My Dad caught the biggest possible fish in Ocarina Of Time, along with that sneaky Hyrule Loach. Before I did. Bastard. ¬_¬ I'll never live down the shame. I did thrash him at Perfect Dark later on though, to make myself feel better. It worked.

Aha, but I'm equipped with the Mental Retardation headband, which automatically casts dispell on enemies! Your Auto-Reflect is rendered null, and thus you are still susceptible to your own spells bouncing off my Reflect!

Mental Retardation Headband? Is that the kind of headband that Amy wears?

Nah. They're talking about a headband that causes retardation in the wearer.

Amy causes retardation in her headband.
