Gates hasn't been in charge of Microsoft for the past five or so years, I don't even know what the fuck Bill does there anymore. But hey, it's cool to hate Microsoft on the internet.

My point was Nintendo are more trustworthy because all they do is develop games and consoles (like Sega). To Sony and Microsoft the videogames market is yet another venture.

I thought Omni was being ironic with the whole "what the hell do electronics and computer companies know about making a video game console" thing. It seems that I gave him too much credit.

Hey, remember that time where Sega fucked themselves in the ass and had to become a third party developer, and not even a notably successful one at that? I sure do.

I also remember when Nintendo was found guilt of anti-trust charges in the late eighties, and how during a massive Famicom recall in the 90's they were complete assholes and required that your current unit must already be broken and that you have to have the receipt, leaving the many consumers out in the cold. That's trustworthy business!

I think Nintendo is definitely the best when it comes to costumer service; to this day, they still provide replacement parts all their consoles back to the NES, and when they run out of a certain part, they guide you to retailers that carry used parts. They also build their systems to last; I remember the mail they used to get from kids who accidentally had their GameBoys or SNESs fall from balconies only to find everything still in working condition.

You can't say Nintendo is bad when Sony won't even admit they screwed up the square button on the PSP

It's a good thing all their old shit still works, because they're not making anything new that's worth playing.

I see all your points, I guess I should concede before I get poo-piped. I can't really argue against Penguin or Gibbon anyway.
It's true that Nintendo has great longevity with their spare parts and all though. Heck, the multitap doesn't work on the slimline PS2 as far as I know.

The regular multi-tap was supposed to be compatible with the PS2

If the controllers work, then why doesn't it?

God I hate Sony

I worked it out today! On the original PS2 the memory card and controller ports were aligned perfectly but on the slimline the memory port overhangs the contol port.
Dammit!

Yeah, its really stupid that the new slimline PS2 doesn't support a peripheral that only 5 or 6 games used. WHAT IS SONY THINKING?!?!?!

The two control ports thing was bullshitty in the first place though. How many control ports do all of these new consoles have?

With the exception of Revolution's GCN ports, all of the new consoles have zero controller ports :P. If you're talking about how many players are supported, PS3 can have up to 7 players at once, which is a really awkward number, and I think 360 supports 4 players at once. No idea about Revolution, but atleast 4 is guaranteed.

Oh yeah, and its good for a portable system to be small, but perhaps the Gameboy Micro is too small:

Yeah, that's pretty damn slick.
What kind of game would support seven players simultaneously?

I'd hate to see a seven player splitscreen.
