It may just be my wee head acting a bit strangely, but could the word "Padme" be quite possibly the gayest word in existence?

Just say it out loud. Attempt to say it with anger and hatred, in a deep gruff voice. Imagine someone who's a real hard bastard with large balls (like, say, Bette Midler) trying to say it, and retain some testosterone. It just doesn't work. Even when Darth Vader and Palpatine attempted to get some 'darkness' and fear into it, it still screamed out for some piano-infused 90's techno and rainbow spandex to bounce on-screen.

"HOW IS PADME??" Camp as christmas, it was. I couldn't stop giggling!

EDIT: I can't spell! This was edited! Three times, no less! Sentence me to a lifetime of hearing that terrible noise Obi-Wan's Lizardy-thing made!

I think Leia was referring to her adopted mother when she said that.

It was all right! Portman is really a terrible actor, though.

No, Leia recalled her mother "being a very sad woman" when Luke asked her if she remembered anything about their <i>real</i> mother.

Goddamn, I feel like such a dork for knowing that.

Don't worry, Lucas will fix those lines as he makes Ep 4 - 6 be the same quality as Ep 1 - 3.

You're right. Lucas f'ed up.

Not that I'm surprised, or anything.

That word made me think of chlorine at first. I didn't like the Force being explained biologically rather than spiritual, especially that it's these tiny microscopic things that give you the power.

Especially since they sound like someone just misspelled mitochondria.

He already did. Watch the Return of the Jedi DVD, the princess doesn't say it at all. The line was cut, she doesn't remember her mother anymore, end of story.

Anyway I saw Ep 3 last wednesday midnight and it I really enjoyed it. It doesn't surprise me the fact that it's a rated movie. The transition to the next trilogy was very good, since the ships were all getting more "millitarized" and looking a lot like the old ones (or new ones. anyway, you get it). It was above my expectations, and my expectations were high. But that's just me.

It was above my expectations, because my expectations were so very low.

And the original trilogy just keep getting more butchered the more Lucas messes with them. Eventually he'll just do remakes and change everything.

I think he's going to replace all the blasters with walkie-talkies next.

Those DVD's of the original trilogy are a travesty-- Not only were there extra edits, but they added Hayden Christiansen at the end, and replaced Boba Fett's voice with that Somoan guy's voice.

Oh yeah. And they never explained why the Stormtroopers in the original trilogy are all different heights and have different voices. I guess George Lucas is going to digitally alter every scene that has a Stormtrooper in it.

General Grievous was the best thing about the movie

I love General Grievous. I was actually expecting to see more of his blatant badassery on display <a href="http://norbert-x.com/rock/userfiles/Kis ... gif">as</a> <a href="http://norbert-x.com/rock/userfiles/Kis ... f">seen</a> <a href="http://norbert-x.com/rock/userfiles/Kis ... gif">in</a> <a href="http://norbert-x.com/rock/userfiles/Kis ... if">the</a> <a href="http://norbert-x.com/rock/userfiles/Kis ... gif">Clone Wars</a> <a href="http://norbert-x.com/rock/userfiles/Kis ... >series</a>, but as long as he had those four lightsabers in full effect for even one scene, I was happy.

Yup. Grievous rules. I bought the first part on DVD. The second is so much better...
