Post your artwork (56k warning)
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
Some sketches. The ones drawn on the crappy paper with the crappy pencil were made in school. Also I still need to do the Chaotix caterkiller for a complete set.

Don't forget the blue Sonic & Knuckles Sandopolis Zone version. I always really liked that Sonic & Tails boss.P.P.A. wrote:Also I still need to do the Chaotix caterkiller for a complete set.
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
I'm leaving out the Sandopolis one, because it looks just like the S1 one except a bit longer (and differently coloured). In S3D it didn't look drastically different either, did it?Crazy Penguin wrote:Don't forget the blue Sonic & Knuckles Sandopolis Zone version. Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
What about the one in Mystic Cave, or is that one behaviorally different enough to exclude it? I always thought it was pretty badass.
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
I'm kinda unsure if it's a part of the caterkiller family, as it doesn't have the trademark face. Its head is entirely different, but the rest of the body's similar.G.Silver wrote:What about the one in Mystic Cave, or is that one behaviorally different enough to exclude it? What about the one from Sonic 3D's Green Grove Zone?

Radrappy pic is funny...
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)

Anybody else? Rappy?

You deserved it, it's fantastic.G.Silver wrote:Guys I just got a notification call from Sega as a winner! :D

And I can thank school for bombarding me with tests since last Friday so I didn't have time to at least try and submit an entry. :(
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
yep. Got mine too. We should be proud G. Apparently there were well near 500 entries. It's funny that this game already has some GHZ representation even though as a whole we greatly disapprove of what they're up to.
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
Right on. :D A guy I kinda know on DA also got a call today, I'm wondering how many "human links" there'll be between all the winners. Do you know if the 500 includes all entries from other countries, or is that just the US?
The improvements you've made there are tremendous btw, I'm even more humbled than I was before.

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
who was the guy on DA? I'm sure we'll all be connected somehow. The fan community of legitimate sonic artists isn't so big. Especially Americans.
Regarding the paperwork, are we supposed to print it out, sign it and then mail it? There doesn't seem to be any means of sending it electronically.
Also I'm glad that at the end of the day, we were able to beat out 400+ 12 year olds at an art contest. Really gives your life validation is what.
Seeing as how the Japanese and European contests haven't closed and are probably being judged by their local branches, I think the number 500 applies only to the USA.G.Silver wrote: Do you know if the 500 includes all entries from other countries, or is that just the US?

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
This guy here is the other winner I know about, but he took his image down, it was Sonic at the end of the race with Metal Sonic. http://aedelthryd.deviantart.com/art/Sa ... y-98767509 I figure an image too small for reproduction on an obscure forum is not a problem.
I really hope all versions of the game include galleries from all over the world, not just the local one (I want to see them). Plus, 60 images is way better than 20!
I The pdf file I was sent has directions for sending it back, either as a fax or a scan sent via email, on the first page. Should be in plain view.

Since 13 was the minimum age to enter I actually don't take much comfort from that. Also I'm glad that at the end of the day, we were able to beat out 400+ 12 year olds at an art contest. Really gives your life validation is what.
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
Had no call but it's because the european contest only ended today.
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
I have nothing else to say except congrats to you, Silver and Rappy. :)

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
Well, we know at least TWO people here who'll be able to tell us how much the game sucks as a Sonic game, even if it rocks as a generic platformer.

Which it won't.Shadow Hog wrote: even if it rocks as a generic platformer.

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
Great job guys=D Though those pics are ACE and I'm not surprised in the least that you guys won. And Rappy, the new version is really spectacular. I kinda miss Tails' original burn up because it was hilarious, but this one really flows with the picture and feels more nostalgic somehow.
Not really expecting anything here. I like the pose and layout of my entry but the coloring is very amateur.. like I wasn't done(and I wasn't). I probably shouldn't have used a method I was unfamiliar with having a time constraint and all, but I'm glad I did. I'd been putting off learning photoshop in favor of physical methods even though it's something I know I've got to know.Quake and terror at Look forward to seeing more of my attempts soon.

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
I took advantage of the "you can enter more than one" clause because I made two and since neither was extremely amazing I figured I might as well send in both. Unfortunately one looks very much like the scene from SA2 and the other is good but not great, oh well, congratulations guys!
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
Very nice, especially the first.
I know this scene doesn't happen in the game but I thought it was funny. (No I did not enter this for the contest)

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
You really should have, that would look great colored.
Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)

Re: Post your artwork (56k warning)
