It's the SE one. I've seen it in a store here, but when I go to the official website it says that it will be launching soon... that's really weird, maybe the one they had was the european version or something, but I remember it had the ESRB rating icon...
And yes, the Hard difficulty of SE is the same as the default one in the original game. You'll have to beat the game to unlock it in SE, but I assure you it's quite a challenge nonetheless.

Anyone know if the (Japan only, afaik) sequel to this was meant to be any good? I loved the original (known as SOS: The Final Escape in Europe incidentally) too. It was flawed for sure and I can't imagine the reviews were terribly glowing, but it was just a damn good idea. A big-budget sequel on the 360/PS3 would be awesome.aso wrote:Disaster Report. Laggy and certainly not pretty but a damned impressive take at an earthquake simulator, with some excellent segments that involve you scrambling for your life. Great little title, and it doesn't cost much. Pick it up.
I'd like to throw Gradius V into the mix. It seems a bit 'by the numbers' for a Treasure shooter to begin with, but it really doesn't disappoint.
The Sly Raccoon games are good if you dig 3D platformers, too.

Mmhh, I'll try to get it (the second one, Raw Danger) on launch, it's a shame that it won't be released in Europe, but that could change.
Also I have to give a try to the Sly Cooper games, haven't seen any recently (not even the third one) but I'll search the obscure marketplaces for it. The same goes for Gradius V, I need some bullet hell to fill that empty space RayStorm once filled.

... Wow. I actually just looked it up, and Raw Danger is getting a UK release after all. I never would've seen that coming.
505 Game Street are a confusing company. How did they go from exclusively releasing titles like this to games that are actually quite respectable?

There are boobies, that alone gets my respect. And I feel happy for you.
I forgot to recommend LS Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner but it's probably the same, he won't be able to find it... unless he resorts to eBay, that is.

... The funny thing here is that the C is farther from both the I and the O than the T in a standard keyboard, so there's no reason to spell it wrong.
At least if you want to do it on purpose call it the PlayEstación Dos or something. Broken english is fun only when you do it right.

You should get The Warriors from Rockstar, freaking awesome, specially if you like the movie. Bully is great too. If you want something fun and easy, and if you like Star Wars, Episode III is really good. Spiderman 2 was pretty decent, much better than the Superman Returns fiasco. Oh, and if you are a fan of the original, then the new Altered Beast is also pretty fun.

I don't really want to get into a debate about it or anything, I just felt like it was a exceptional platformer. It didn't reinvent the wheel or anything, it just did standard stuff really well. Most cult classics end up getting hyped up beyond what they are, which is probably good to get more people to buy them. I think BG&E lives up to the cult hype though.

Psychonauts? Bought that and beat it just shy of a year ago. Actually wound up REbuying it as a Christmas present for my little brother (I have the PC version, he has the Xbox version), given its then-recent support on the 360. Shame the 360 has a habit of making Raz's clothes a cyanish color for no particular reason, however, it's quite annoying.
So... yeah, I did my part.

Psychonauts needs a great sequel. It's not even like they don't have a premise; the game kinda sorta ended on a cliffhanger, there, though not a cliffhanger in the sense that it felt like the existing game hadn't reached completion.
Also if the sequel were longer, that'd be great. Psychonauts was a sweet game, but it was rather short, ya know? I had it beaten in, what, a week? Cruller knowing tips for every situation in the book kinda sped things up a bit, I'd say.

I would like Psychonauts tampons... what? Garfield has his own, so I heard.Locit wrote:Psychonauts would be a great everything.
Yeah, I used to believe that both Psychonauts and God of War would change my life forever given their rabid hype, but they ended up being just damn good games and nothing more. I feel cheated and disappointed.
I still have to play Beyond Good & Evil, but I'll lower my expectations a bit. It is also available on GameCube, PC and Xbox, so maybe those are better option for LS.
