Kudos for pointing this out, it just amazes me how quickly people forget what started it all when something is made into a movie or video game.

Didn't you die, or become Amish, or something?

I'm afraid not Baba, and it's nice to see you too.

Sidenote: Seeing you with an avatar sans guitar is rather disappointing somehow, and....nice banana.....

Is that the cover of the Velvet Revolver album where you can peel back the peel and the banana is pink? Or am I thinking of something completely different?

It's a cd cover of some sort, I remember seeing it around and though "Oh, Baba's avatar!".

I got Bumpy Trot. I love it. It's super duper awesome. It's like 5 different games mixed into one, but in a good way - not the crappy Sonic Adventure 2 way.

I can't stop playing it! <3 I want to do everything, but so much is left undone. I love wearing a pimp suit or nothing but a leaf and driving a gigantic robot with a buzzsaw arm.

Back on the interweb, and I'm pissed off this is only for PS2. Do you think one game is worth buying a console for? If not, I'm sure I could always get Fahrenheit and Shadow of the Colossus to make myself feel better about the expenditure.

This game is like crack. The stuff you can do in this game kinda reminds me of descriptions of Shenmue. I may go so far as to say it's Shenmue but with giant robots.

And giant robots make everything better!

You could probably justify a PS2 purchase with this and SotC (for me at least). I think they just dropped the price of the PS2, too. Just make sure others aren't listening when you play the musical segments. The lyrics can be... painful.

Yes yes and yes. Like your avatar, for example.

Painful how? As in trying and failing badly to be cool? Or being angsty or something?

There're so many of them you can justify your investment anytime you want. I would get bored of naming each FAG (Fucking Awesome Game). Absolutely worth the buy.

E-106 Zeta is a giant robot? He seems pretty small in the PC SADX, but whatever, he sure's bigger than anyone else (well, except for ZERO, E-101 Beta MKII, CHAOS-6 and Perfect CHAOS).

No. It's the Velvet Underground album where you can peel back the peel and the banana is pink.

I knew it was Velvet something. So what is that an album cover of? Or is it even an album cover?

I think -- I think -- it might be an Andy Warhol painting that got made into an album cover for some band. Maybe

Wait, so I was right the first time, but I just said Velvet Revolver instead of Underground?

Well his wording made it sound like he was just correcting my revolver remark and not mention his avatar. Thanks for clearing that up! Could have been a travesty there.

Well I'm glad I just totally derailed this thread. Sorry original poster whose name I am too lazy to look up.
