I prefer to get gaming news online or not at all. Crappy low-res screens in a mag are hardly comparible to all the video footage you can find online.

I don't think game journalism on the internet is in a much better state than game journalism in print...

That's why the April issue comes in March.
It only makes sense.

I enjoyed ODCM, but that may have been fanboyism mixed with those lovely demo disks.

At least with online gaming journalism, you don't explicitly pay for any possible rabid fanboyism or wretched game analysis.

Doesn't like everything expensive at Gamestop get you a free subscription for a year or something? The last few times I've gone in there someone was eligible for a free subscription and he didn't want it so one of the employees just used their address.

The 10% discount begins with the transaction you subscribe in, so if you buy $100 worth of used stuff, the discount sort of makes the subscription free. More than $100, and you actually save money by subscribing.
