I know a guy named Rusty Gates. He doesn't appreciate the jokes about his name as much as he should.

Mike Hunt, that's fucking great.
No worse than Martha Focker or Mel Keetehts.

Our highschool's old music teacher was also named Mike Hunt. You'd think such a name wouldn't be common.

Technically everyone in the Navy is a Seaman, though the general term is mostly used for enlisted as is the specific rank.

Army: Soldier
Marines: Marine
Airforce: Airman

I always find it humorous in movies and video games where the term "soldier" is applied to every branch of service.

Which brings up an interesting note: Time's (is it?) person of the year was the United States soldier, which would exclude all other branches. Was this due to ignorance or do they think that the army is really more deserving then any other branch?

Soldier = every military person ever because nobody cares about the technicalities.

Tell that to the Marines. Or the Army for that matter. I'm sure they enjoy being lumped in with the Air Force and the Navy.

Technicality? No. Just different terms describing people with different missions, employed by different branches of the military.

They love it deeply. It gives them a little shiver of excitement every time someone does it.

Then they spurt a little.

I thought it was "The American Fighting Person". I'mpretty sure I still have that issue here somewhere.

The international edition, admittedly. I dunno, I think it may have been some sort of threat.
