I'm not really surprised on the cancellation since it seemed to be in development limbo all these years. Not to mention it was a no show at this year's E3. It was all a matter of time...which is a pity as it seemed like the game that would have made me invest in Live.

Though word on the street says that Level 5, the company who was development was spending the money Microsoft gave them for this game to complete Dragron Quest VIII instead.

Microsoft got pwned.

Is it just me, or is this just another huge failure for Microsoft and Xbox in Japan? I mean, this game looks it really would've appealed to Japanese gamers and considering it was slated for a Japanese release doesn't really make Micro$oft's position in that country any better.

I'm sure Level 5 were devoting more resources to DQ8, which is a far more important game for them.

I hate to say it, but realistically, True Fantasy was a whack idea from the start. By and large, Xbox people are not MMORPG people, much less in Japan where the only people who even own Xboxes are hardcore collectors. And True Fantasy is a distinctly Japanese-looking game, which will not appeal to the majority of the Xbox userbase, who, quite frankly, consist mostly of potheads who lack the mental capacity to play games that require interaction beyond blowing each other up.

But I thought you had an X-Box.

G.G., is there something you're not telling us?

Hey. Listen. I'm female. I know girls, on the whole, are stupidly over-emotional, have wild annoying moodswings that makes sense to now one but themselves, IF that, tend to be amazingly shallow, can't drive for shit, will take the handsome man over the nice man any day, grow up to be fat and old and as nasty looking as their mothers, and want more for less. I don't like it, but will freely admit that for about 75% of the female population, many of these facts are true. So. My point is, this is the same sort of thing. Gibbon may have an Xbox, that doesn't mean he likes everyone else who has an Xbox.

That's because you're already fucked up, Green.

Actually, all it does to me is give me a headache.

That means you're not smoking good stuff.

If there's one thing that everyone single youth in Southern California learns about, it's marijuana.

EDIT: Whether they want to or not.

I get just slightly light-headed and all it does is put me in a bad mood, which I gather is the opposite of the intended effect. It's weird, because I'm usually extremely susceptible to drugs.

That, and I'm already fucked up. People think I'm high when I just think it's funny to make squealing noises as I roll on the carpet with M&M's stuffed up my nose.

ahahahahahahahahaha wow. that's kinda sad. I was kind of interested in it as the developers have a good history. But I will say that it had god aweful character designs. I never really um understood the game play beyond the retarded "you can do ANYTHING!" slogan. Here is another instance in which the imaginative spirit of man has been shot by reality. hehehe god thats funny.
