He seems to suggest that "Sweet Sweet Sweet" was based on the Sonic 2 ending theme, and not vice-versa as I had always assumed. That's just creepy. So he came up with it being a love song *after* he came up with it being the song that's played when Tails rescues Sonic from death. MUST... SUPPRESS.....
