Has anyone played GG Isuka? What's the word on that? I heard it was good, but nothing more. The gameplay is completely hollow, and the 4 player melee battles are very hectic. What is so great about this series apart from the anime? As a fighting game, Virtua Fighter 4 canes it to the ground (and al...

Re: Interview Shorts: Ogawa, Tanahashi and Naka

The latest issue of UK magazine Edge contains a brief interview with Yuji Naka, where he voices his frustrations over several factors that are inhibiting his creativity. Firstly, it seems that Sega's recent restructuring has alleviated his CEO responsibilities, as he is not only still responsible f...

Sammy did a good bargain, outside of Japan who knew Sammy before the fusion thing?. Anyone who has played the Guilty Gear series, which is a fair amount of people considering how most would buy a game for the fact that it had anime in it alone. How else do you think so many japanese RPG's have beco...

See, after Light Speed asked 'Since when are there bottomless pits anywhere,' Chris and j-man named levels with vertical wrap arounds but about 3 other people didn't pick up on it and thought that they were talking about death pits and nobody's paying attention to me anyway. I'll stop now. It's an ...

You need to watch Sonic X's mid-series episodes, when they started tying everything in with the games. I don't know whether it's official or not, but it does make some form of sense. Out of interest, is there any plot adaptation of the Sonic games after SA2 in Sonic X (I would love for the producer...

Is the Sonic anime's "official" cannon material for the Sonic universe? I always believed that it wasn't (because of Chris and the other humans in the show, excluding Eggman of course).

This new Ridge Racer game appears to be going futher towards it's arcade roots, instead of towards the semi-realistic gameplay style of the great Type 4 . Here's hoping that the pretty visuals are meet with responsive controls, better collision physics and more race tracks (which apparently, from re...

Well this site gave it the thumbs up, so I guess it might be worth purchasing a PSP after all. Assuming of course, you can get over the blatent design flaws, and purchase the other good looking PSP games that I so carelessly overlooked in my last post (Although Metal Gear Ac!d still looks acid induc...

The thing that the PSP has going for it, though, is the fact that the DS's lineup is still complete crap. Oh, and Sony fanboys. The DS had some decent games (Kimishine, WarioWare, and Mario if you aren't sick of playing it for the last 9 years). And besides, apart from Wipeout Pure and Mercury I se...

Even if Sega did lose the source code for the original Sonic games, it still wouldn't be the tip of the iceberg occording to the list of bad decisions they’ve made from 1994 - 1999.

A testimony to show how unorganized Sega really is as a company. How many major restructures of the development teams have occured in the last 5-6 years? Wasn't like two or three?

You have to admit though, that unless platformers (or ANY type of game) does not any additional features to the core game to improve on it, despite its stellular level design or awesome graphics, it will always be considered a cookie-cutter sequel (or more of the same). But adding additional feature...

Yeah, I meant to say "Possible". Spazz, considering the fact that they supposedly did have a half-decent Sega CD emulator in production (that was presumably having sound problems), then they really should have considered finishing it. Virtually every Sonic fan is howling for CD, and Sega should have...

I'm glad that someone holds to my views on Sonic CD (yes, I'm the weirdo now offically joined this loving community of vindictive Sonic freaks), but even so, it is still quality Sonic in that the basic mechanics are still good, and the level design occasionally allows the player to really speed alon...

Nobody likes being called "useless". I think that allowing Yasuhara to slip into the hands of the Jak team was a poor calculation on Sonic Team's part, because even if he (seemingly) couldn't help out with the 3D level designs of the Adventure games, he still could have quite easily helped Dimps wit...
