Just started playing sonic 1 with knuckles on my iPhone. I can confirm that yes, gliding underwater feels messed up. Knuckles has the same momentum and speed as if he was gliding out of the water, which is weird because his normal movements underwater are all slowed down like how its supposed to be.

I was referring to FP; Sonic looks phenom here (though personally, I'd point his spines a mite farther outwards). Got to play Sonic Utopia at the gf's house. The controls are pretty damn good. Getting speed is all about keeping momentum and the platforming works great. The level is really vast and fun to explore. I think all it really needs is enough interesting gimmicks to keep the player interested. Seriously...

I mostly just like how sonic utopia looks like it has a really good momentum based gameplay. The controls look pretty good. Hoping to play it soon.

I have a feeling this game is going to have like 14-20 levels. I'm also guessing they may have some sort of like dlc levels as well. Hoping they bring back my favorite zones, flying battery or lava reef.

The extras didn't seem that great to me either. I already got enough sonic figures and a metallic key and cartridge doesn't seem that appealing to me. Each level should have Super Sonic only routes. When you play as regular Sonic, you might come across pits filled with spikes. Super Sonic can walk on spikes and so access new areas. I always thought sonic advance 1 had the worst special stages in my opinion. It was so hard to grab rings because of the depth perception problem (it was fixed a bit in advance 3 but still not perfect). As long as the special stages are nothing like the unplayable special stages in the sonic advance series (especially sonic advance 1) I'll be happy.

I actually think it looks real nice not being super hd looking and the sprites look pretty good. Whenever it gets too hd it gets pretty tough on my eyes for me at least.
