Re: Prolific American Company I Do Care About vs. Capcom
Good thing I never bought Marvel vs. Capcom 3 the first time around then. Despite all the shit that's happened with Capcom recently, I do want to eventually get this game.

Re: Toy Story ep 4: The Plastic Menace.
It and its sequel The Cat Returns are loosely connected (both are based on manga from the same woman), but Whisper of the Heart is way more down-to-Earth. I point this out to you as I know you didn't like The Cat Returns.

Been trying (the word trying) to beat Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Keep dying and re-tracing my steps over and over, getting a little closer each time.

Whisper of the Heart is great aside from the ending. Hayao Miyazaki wrote it himself, if it helps interest you more.

Re: Toy Story ep 4: The Plastic Menace.
Toy Story 3 is based on nostalgia, yes. But I just flat-out didn't enjoy it as much as the first two. It was darker and didn't have the light-hearted, humorous tone the last two movies even at their most extreme moments. The villain is pretty cool, though. I watch most CG animated movies out there t...

Cars 2 was alright. Better than the first at least, which was Pixar's weakest film. I hope you really, really like Mater, because he never shuts up for more than 5 minutes. (Kung-Fu Panda 2 and Rio were better, though.) One thing pissed me off, though: The way they just brush Doc's death. No reason ...

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
Since it would be pointless to start a new topic, I was curious if any of you Europeans on here saw Winnie-the-Pooh, or anyone in general saw Cars 2? The former got good reviews, and the latter got far and beyond the worst reviews in Pixar history.

Re: It's Dr. Eggman's 20th Birthday.
I also became familiar with the game via a Sega Genesis I got for Christmas 1991, replacing the ol' NES we had. Nothing much else to say that I didn't already say in a similar thread. To celebrate, I played through yesterday all four "core" 16-bit Sonic titles (1, 2, 3, and Knuckles) as just Sonic b...

(that and I disliked feel-good's earlier Wario Land game) Did they do Wario Land Shake It? God, that game was just so bland and oversimplified. I thought Wario Land 1 for the GameBoy had more depth and fun than that game. Everything about that game involved using those damnable speed-boosters to so...

I remember years after playing Sonic 2 on the Game Gear and finding out that there was a Master System version.I remember going, "Wow. That pain-in-the-ass ant lion boss sure looks a lot easier when you can actually see the projectiles being thrown at him." I was surprised at how much of a differenc...

Looking at this list makes me realize how very, very few 80's-90's Hudson Soft games I've played. I think the only one on the entire list I ever played a lot of was Mega Bomberman, the Mega Drive port of Bomberman '94. If I recall, it's the only Hudson game of any sort on the Mega Drive, though I co...

To be fair, Sonix X-treme didn't look all that hot anyway.
Also, I wouldn't really call what he did to the X-treme team as "back-stabbing" as much as falsely accusing of them of something they didn't do.

Spring Yard Zone (Sonic 1)
Aquatic Ruin Zone (Sonic 2)
Quartz Quadrant (Sonic CD)
Ice Cap Zone (Sonic 3)
Lava Reef Zone (Sonic&Knuckles)
Lost World (Sonic Adventure)
Radical Highway (Sonic Adventure 2)
And yes, I know you don't play as Sonic in Radical Highway. Doesn't mean it can't still be there.

Re: Sonic Generations
I would have chosen Amy over Shadow in terms of historical meaningfulness, honestly. Thought to be honest, after two real games (Unleashed and Colors) with the entire cast except for Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Eggman missing, a very small part of me is actually glad to see even Shadow back. All I hope f...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
I like the Knuckles/Rogue stages mainly because they're the only levels in the game where the camera somewhat works. Backtracking through the other four characters' games (especially for the Mystic Melody challenges) is an impossible task thanks to the terrible camera that never pans back at you. I'...

Re: Super Sonic Galaxy
I actually kind of prefer Eggman's shooting stages, and all of the Knuckles/Rogue stages (except Death Chamber and Mad Space respectively) to all but the first Sonic/Shadow stages in Sonic Adventure 2. The last two Sonic stages are among the worst designed levels in the 3-D series' history. And yes,...

Now that's more like it. I never picked up Kirby Epic Yarn because it didn't strike me as a Kirby game whatsoever despite the Kirby name (that and I disliked feel-good's earlier Wario Land game). I just hope that using abilities doesn't cause the game to load up an attack like the giant fire dragon ...

Playing Grandia 2, which crashed barely 6 hours in on me. Nice to know the tradition of abrupt, annoying crashing that I saw in my play of the PS1 port of Grandia lives on in its sequel. It really isn't as good as the original, but still okay.

Re: What are you playing today?
I almost never play the DS anymore, so no. Recently I've been playing the two PS2 Kamatari games again, mainly the second one. I keep forgetting how easy it is to get stuck in the first game and reverse a lot of progress you make. That alone is why I prefer the sequel gameplay-wise (though the origi...

I poop usually one time a day, almost always at night. The time at night I poop is inconsistent, but it's usually dependent on how much cheese I ate that day.

I got a digital camcorder and money. What I plan with said money is unknown. (My Wii is not playing games very well right now, so games for it are sadly out of the question until repairs are made.)

Re: Return to the Hundred Acre Wood
Just got back from seeing it. It met my (very) low expectations for it, but not much else. It's basically Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, only with a cute girl instead of Quasimodo and a bland, manipulating woman instead of Frollo. And much more cringe-worthy songs sung by virtually the entire cas...
