SNK vs. Capcom. I remember that game being pretty cool. And maybe SNK Gals Fighters is cute if you want to see chibi versions of the King of Fighters girls beating the crap out of each other. There's also two Metal Slug games, but I never played them.

So how IS the DS version, gameplay-wise? From what I've seen it looks like Sonic Rush sans Blaze and weird alien gimmick sections.

The first 16-bit Sonic game was my first one. I got it with my Genesis for Christmas '91. (We got rid of our NES soon after, though, including the games for it.)
