Unless you own it on the PC, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Condemned: Criminal Origins.

Also, seconding BioShock and the Orange Box.

Re: Win a lightsaber and become an assasin in your free time!

I loved killer7 far more than I should've, so I'm naturally looking forward to this.

Also, its Japanese release held one of the more interesting pre-order items...

Re: NiGHTS is coming to GameTap

Seeing as how the PS2 port is going to be Japan-only, this'll likely be the best chance most have of ever playing the game.

(Not that it's that difficult to purchase a Saturn and the game itself over eBay...)

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.

Today's update: little more than a trailer of sorts for Subspace Emissary.

It's nice to see a bit more about what the characters will be doing, but I was disappointed to see nothing revealing the roles of Sonic (or Snake, for that matter).

Re: NiGHTS: JoD is LAAAAME

So the basic gameplay of JoD is lame compared to the original? I can dig it.

Any thoughts on the "My Dream" mode?

Nice to see that (mostly) everything came through.

Default phpBB display is fairly obnoxious, but it's a minor issue.

One shitty AT (Waluigi) and one awesome AT (Starfy). If only Starfy could be a full-fledged character... I'm also disappointed.

I can't believe it is in 3D. This is bullshit. this proves that 2D games are dying. I'm sorry, did you somehow miss the link that Isuka so graciously posted? The linked article clearly states Though the screenshot doesn't answer this question outright, we can confirm that the game's graphics are po...

I'll admit to being startled by a flying cockroach (the damn thing flew right at my face ), but that's about it. They certainly are unpleasant, though. And I don't know about you, but I would much prefer playing Shadow or Sonic Sk6 to munching on a roach (with our without ketchup). Playing a poorly ...

Oh god, I would love for the Streets of Rage theme to be added. That and the Nights tune, "Message from Nightopia". Hot stuff. I'd like to see selections from Shinobi 3, Vectorman, and, for the "oldschool" factor, something from Golden Axe or (heh) Columns. And while Dedede's FS is essentially an u...

Yeah, the Smash Ball update was nothing special, but the idea of music from all sorts of series interests me. Perhaps we can expect some vintage Sega tunes?

Well, the update today is nothing monumental, but it does confirm that most, if not all, of the Pokéball-spawned Pokémon from Melee will be returning (and, as before, Celebi and Mew will have a ridiculously low chance of appearing). Also, I'll agree with Nintendo's FC system being needlessly c...

Beyond the horrible bastardization of a classic composer's final moments? Not really (that is to say, I've certainly played worse). Anyhow, I must say that I'm in love with the feeling of loneliness evoked by the screenshots; a run-down bathroom, an empty shop stand, the boy sitting alone at a fire....

Which will most likely be Tails, yes.
He approaches stealthily with lithe jumps, coming right in then slicing repeatedly. Awww! It makes you want to use him as a playable character.
He's not even making his taunting subtle here. Sakurai's getting cocky.

Generally agree with the tone of folk here - most TV isn't all that hot to begin with, though I do strongly recommend Showtime's Dexter to anyone who has yet to see it - one of the best shows I've ever seen.

South Park's still pretty good, too.

Who in his/ her/ it's right mind would ever be a Kingdom Hearts fan, anyway? I once had a dream....

So, I essentially 'woke up' at least four times. That was an odd experience.

Well, it's not as if he interrupts gameplay (much as he does in Animal Crossing). Perhaps the player can also knock him out of the battlefield?

(Come to think of it, can you smash Assist Trophies out of the level?)

Chibi-Robo is made up of the following parts: 1. One tiny robot, and thus one gigantic house to be explored 2. A multitude of side quests and hidden items 3. Several distinct abilities which unlock as the game goes on 4. An interestingly (yet oddly) dark storyline 5. A day/night system that works 6....

True, but the Ice Climbers level had the music, the Polar Bears... it had a nice vaguely retro feel to it.
