Re: Super Sonic Galaxy

This is the strangest concept for a sonic game I've seen so far. However it will likely play into what I said earlier about Sega giving up. I'm expecting the plot to be something like this: Dr.Eggman imprisons forgettable neon colored space jellyfish things and sets out to turn planets with cliché t...

Re: Prolific American Company I Do Care About vs. Capcom

Its not fair to cite Capcom's latest shader abuse cop-outs as the end of 2D yet. When you have games like Melty Blood(Generic characters, but some of the best animations I've seen in a fighting game thus far) and even KoF 2002(Both Top 10 last time I checked Arcadia Magazine) still going strong ove...

Is this being made by the same team? Even with the ability to jump I would do much better about this game if I knew we would be made by someone other than backbone or climax.

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010

That's why I put the phrase in quotation marks. I don't think it's very far-fetched to say that there is a highly fanatical portion of the fan base that automatically loves anything associated with the character. Sonic the hedgehog has long been infamous as one of the creepier fandoms in video games.

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010

Sonic 2006 failed to alienate the "hard-core" fan base, if that didn't do it Sonic 4 certainly won't. I expect these types of fans to be greatly satisfied with Sonic 4 on a superficial level. The only way to kill the cult of sonic is for Sega to abandon them for a broader (and most likely some smart...

Re: First game I ever played

my earliest memory of video games would have to be some Sesame Street game (I never had any idea what it was called) for the NES. I vaguely remember lying out plates to guide rubber ducky to earning his bathtub. I also oddly enough have memories of the NES version of 1943. There is also a game licen...

Re: There's a Thunderdome joke in here somewhere

Final Fantasy Tactics - I know guys who swear by this game. And just recently I walked in on one of them playing through it for about the nth time. He insisted it's not really that good of a game and I shouldn't bother. But you know, actions speak louder than words. I'm iffy on this because I've ne...

Re: Buying NiGHTS. Yes or No?

If you're getting a Saturn try to find a copy of DARIUS GAIDEN. NiGHTS and DARIUS GAIDEN where the two games I played the most on my Sega Saturn (and astal I used to play that occasionally to). DARIUS GAIDEN is my favorite shoot em' ups ever! (As well as giga wing) it has delightfully trippy graphic...

Re: Sony makes Reality Show, The Tester. Winner gets to test.

Is is this a joke? That was the first comment I saw to this video and it reflects my thoughts upon first hearing about this "reality show". The fact that this show exists troubles me. It heavily romanticizes a entry-level job that I thought was well known to be dull and exhausting. Sony is clearly ...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010

Well to avoid opening a can of worms with a question about Sonic's design, what exactly the issue with this remix? As far as I can tell, it seems to satisfy most of the criteria for a classic title screen piece, with an upbeat, catchy, recurring melody. Is it the intruments that are the problem or ...

Re: All-new 2D Sonic rolling out in 2010

am I the only one who views Sonic 4 one as Sega giving up? Not just Sega but the fans as well? They given up on the idea of the series making progress or evolving for at least the past five years. Everyone, it seems, wants sonic to be just like Mario and their only justification for it is that anyth...

If they did I doubt she would very much for her original design for the animated series.

Unmentioned a criminal mastermind not satisfied with simply getting away with a crime. The Riddler has to announce his crimes to Batman, he "wins" if he creates the ultimate puzzle that the world's greatest detective cannot solve.

Now that I think of it, the game could use a proper day/night system for the Adventure Fields. Certain stages are accessible at certain times of day. Certain areas within the stages are accessible at different times of day. Just imagine cruising along Emerald Coast in the middle of the night... It ...
