News. Secret service, prostitutes, don't care.

Bin Laden's family leaving Pakistan, don't care.

Lindsay Lohan on Glee, completely don't care.

What is Glee, even?

Re: So that's what those things are called

Pixellated graphics haven't been cool since Cave Story. That's actually one of the things that turned me off, not because I think it looks bad (because I don't), but all this retro-humping which still seems to be the rage years after it grew stale was a stupid idea even when it was fresh. I despise...

So that's what those things are called

So what's up with Fez? Generally I avoid game journalism like the black death, but somehow I managed to get wind that this is pretty good. I played the demo and it was alright, but it seemed like it would've gotten repetitive and boring pretty quickly. Is this not the case? Let thoughts pour forth l...

Re: The number 1 conundrum

I never used to put the seat down until I moved into my current apartment. The toilet splatters everywhere when I flush, so I've gotten into the habit of putting both the seat and lid down before flushing.

It's not usually pretty when I have to clean the lid.

Re: Does this make me gay?

Especially after trying fried cricket. Inago? Those are grasshoppers, not crickets. That's one of those things I've been wanting to try, but I have yet to encounter them. Sesame or black sesame is a really common ice cream flavor here. It's in a lot of traditional Japanese sweets. I much prefer ank...

Re: Does this make me gay?

Somewhere between the towns of Kuzumaki and Kuji, about an hour and a half drive from here, there is a place with charcoal flavor ice cream. I know it exists because I've seen the pictures and have talked to people who tried it. I've been up and down that road several times, but I have yet to find t...

Re: What are you playing today?

I'm also playing Kid Icarus on the 3ds. I picked that up, but I haven't started it yet. I didn't realize until I held the box in my hands that it comes with a plastic "holding tray" that you're supposed to use while playing. The fact that they had to make a whole new plastic attachment for the syst...

Re: Sweet Wheat & Sucrose Oats

http://www.theghz.com/gibbon/peachyogurt.jpg Peach yogurt flavor. The "yogurt" part is probably a lie. It tastes just like regular artificial peach to me (granted, I don't recall ever having eaten actual peach yogurt). Yogurt is pretty popular here, not just among health nuts but in general to the ...

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

I think the furor is partly fuelled by a more general resentment towards Bioware/EA as a result of an attitude towards their customers that seems to have become apparent as of late.

Re: Journey

I've actually been debating with myself whether or not that's a flaw or to what extent it is. Obviously Journey is based on discovery, and you can only "discover" anything once, but it's still a really awesome once that there's no other way to emulate. I do think it could've been longer - much longe...

The nicest consensus is that Shepard was indoctrinated That's honestly what I thought happened at first. Re: Journey

I think there's an overcompensating reaction here to the arty airhead praise this game apparently gets - and that is completely understandable (though no less ridiculous) - but I don't agree with the notion that a game needs the possibility failure to be compelling. Journey isn't a puzzle game. I th...

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

Alright, so the ending to Mass Effect 3. Logic and coherence are pretty much abandoned as soon as the flashy blue cyber kid shows up, so I'm not totally sure what was supposed to happen next, but I think he was babbling about three possible endings, right? He mentioned something about a fusion of or...

Re: Mice and linguistic ruin

I only ever rented World back in the day and I've never played past the first couple of stages, but the level design isn't nearly as interesting as Castle. Seems like I remember the controls being a bit clunkier, too. Castle, along with Sonic 1 and 2, was one of the first three games I had for the G...
