Re: Sonic and the Quest for Phallic Compensation
SLASHING THROUGH ME EVERY INCH OF THE POWER THE POWER IN YOU They are doing this on purpose. I'd like to think this is all an elaborate parody. And it's rarely that a camera is done exactly to the way that everyone likes it. I remember a huge debate on this forum about the perfect 3D camera, and I ...

I like the art, but I'm not really enthusiastic about having a bunch of motion sensor gimmicks, which I know there will be.

Re: Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection
Oh well. I like what I like and I have the discretion to pick out games that I will enjoy. Incidentally, I'll probably pick up this collection (is it already out? I thought I saw a game collection with Sonic on the cover at Best Buy) and enjoy it. It's a pretty good deal, and it is what it is.

Re: Sonic and the Quest for Phallic Compensation
I think, from a gameplay standpoint, SA2 is the threshold for the speed at which a Sonic game should move. All other bitching about that game aside, it tested reflexes, almost to a prescient degree for A-rankings, so it becomes a matter of muscle memory versus some subconscious decision-making abili...

In terms of story? Well, at its core, it's a fighting game, so... no.
OT is much better, in my opinion. I think action games should be ridiculously fast paced, and OT manages to do that without sacrificing complexity.

That is not terrible at all, and I am now quite excited. Granted, it'd be better if I could somehow use the twin sticks, but alas, it is not to be.Forza Johnman wrote:Oratorio Tangram, Apparently it costs 1200 MS points though.

This, of course, will determine my level of enthusiasm.
And yes, I know Force is unlikely.

Cuckooguy, I really, really like it. Some of the characters are at odd angles given the perspective, but it's never enough to ruin the overall warm, fuzzy feelings it gives me.

I actually like Tails' design in SA. I think the death of his personality in subsequent games harmed the character, as did the removal of, you know, his ability to move freely.

Hi. My name is Wombatwarlord777, though you can call me "Batwar" for short. That will not happen. I can draw cartoons decently well, but all my Sonic the Hedgehog doodles end up looking like insects with a pair of legs cruelly plucked away. As for defining personality flaws... Lessee... Instead, I think Amy would be more interesting if she were more tom-boyish, atheletic and egdy, Yeah, that stereotype is WAY more interesting than that other stereotype. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there's an 'original' character in there with a steampunk engine-sword that lets him boost around and keep pace with Sonic.

The gameplay looks clunky from these videos. I'm not really surprised or anything, but it might have helped if it, you know, looked like it controlled well.

There's nothing wrong with "liking what you like" -- hell, I loved the Incredibles -- but it's not like there isn't room for improvement. Pixar is a great studio, miles ahead of their contemporaries... but they're not exactly producing animated masterpieces. Sometimes I think people have a predispo...
