Re: Electronic Entertainment Exhibition, feat. Usher & Flo R

So after attending 2 days of E3... Best of Show: iPad game where you play as a horribly animated runway model and your movement is dependent on how you tilt the iPad. You must avoid things like the audience throwing rotten food at you and suitcases and cobras that may be on the runway. You must also...

Co op games reccomendations

Since I was young I've always had the opportunity to play co op games with one of my 2 sisters, and still am able to. Heck I used to watch them play single player games all the time when we used to live together because I was interested in seeing how they would tackle the game. Since Chip 'n' Dale o...

Re: Electronic Entertainment Exhibition, feat. Usher & Flo R

I am going to e3 tomorrow and the day after (didn't go today, which is the first day). I may post impressions. I know almost nothing about what's supposed to be on display there (and I don't even know very much about info that's been released, guess I'll browse some gaming news sites). I look forwar...

Re: Incredibly mundane technical question, ver.2

I've been dabbling into Sega Genesis/32X/CD emulation myself lately and booted up Snatcher. I have 2 downloaded copies, one I downloaded many years ago when I first played and one I downloaded recently that came in a huge every-Sega CD-game set. So I boot up Fusion and tested Snatcher (from the set ...

Re: What are you playing today?

I finished Rayman Origins yesterday and Kid Icarus Uprising today. Rayman Origins is generally unfunny except the bosses, some of which are hilarious. However, the first 4~5 worlds don't have bosses at the end. You haven't really played the game until you at least fight the giant bird boss. It's lik...

Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed announced

Speaking of which, I think it's a good idea that they're including water racing and air racing. One of the things that I thought was fundamentally wrong with the first one (though I never played it) was that Sonic, despite being fast, was racing in a kart. By putting the race in the water and air, i...

Re: What are you playing today?

I'm currently playing Rayman Origins. I kinda like how for level themes, they take 2 things that seem kinda mundane alone as a level but put them together to make something fantastical, except the first world which was just your standard looking nature level. I'm in the 3rd world, the ice/food level...

I will have to play it because I'm a Skies of Arcadia nerd and (after not updating it for 2 years) have revisited and revamped my Skies of Arcadia fansite!

I just finished Journey, I thought it was a lovely experience. It's mostly about discovery and braving the unknown, and with braving that unknown you're treated to some very lovely setpieces.

Re: What are you playing today?

That "holding tray" was made as a response to the pain people were feeling while playing it. I myself haven't felt any, but once I finish a chapter which is like 15ish minutes give or take 5 minutes I usually put it down and play another chapter another day, so I've been perfectly fine without that ...

Re: What are you playing today?

I recently played Asura's Wrath because a friend lended it to me. The game is mostly style over substance, the combat itself not having much depth. Basically, the game is divided between cutscenes, brawling, and QTEs: when you brawl, which is when you do attacks to hurt the enemy in a shallow fighti...

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

Okay after researching a bit it turns out this TV was never released with a PS3 bundle, just that there was a PlayStation branded 3d TV, I think the word bundle threw me off and made me assume it would be bundled with the PS3, which it isn't, it's bundled with 3d glasses and MotorStorm. Whoops!

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

That PlayStation branded TV I think lacks a computer monitor port or a composite video port so you can't really hook up a computer or Wii to it, I don't think, unless you use component video. It's extremely limited compared to other HDTVs in how many things can be hooked up to it (well I guess it ca...

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

I found the bundle, at least on a Best Buy site: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+Computer+Entertainment+America+-+PlayStation+3D+Display+Bundle/2891051.p?id=1218360683860&skuId=2891051 , the 3d quality is great but the size of the tv, 24", you can make of what you will of it. How did you achieve al...

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

Fun fact: In the Japanese version of Uncharted 3, there is a bug at the very end where during the part where Talbot gains the advantage on Nate and is slowly about to pierce Nate's throat with his knife, Sully continually shoots Talbot in this QTE, Talbot's blood spewing out from every shot but not ...

Re: Who left all these propane tanks lying around anyway?

I hate Syria and kinda dislike Graveyard but I really like the Chateau and the Cruise Ship. I am also in awe of the detail, as these areas I just mentioned feel like they have a history to them that they never have to explain and you only go through these rooms for like 10 seconds if you're rushing ...

The Vita hasn't been released yet? That's weird, we had a Vita Launch party on Feb. 14 and there were important people in possession of a Vita.

Re: PS3 recommendations

I think I will save Bayonetta, Valve games, and BioWare titles for when I get a 360, since Mass Effect 1 wasn't released on the PS3 and it would itch the inside of my head if I started 2 without ever playing 1, and Valve seems more like a Microsoft developer than a Sony developer. I have finished Ch...

Re: Slash, wheeze, slash, wheeze

I just finished the game and I can kind of see where they're going with this title. Someone may have mentioned these before in their own opinions, so if I'm echoing someone's statement then well whatever. The game seems to try to improve at what Twilight Princess was weak at, that is the overworld d...

Re: Slash, wheeze, slash, wheeze

Remind me again what the "tear quests" in Twilight Princess were. Because I don't remember anything as annoying as Skyward's silent realms. Took me a while to remember, but now I remember. Any time you went into a new area eclipsed by Twilight you'd have to search for these bugs in the area that he...

Re: Slash, wheeze, slash, wheeze

I like that there's some loose continuity, but I don't think it should be a major focus 'cuz then too much effort would be spent into weaving this epic tale of history and the games could become too story oriented. References to other games I think is fine as long as someone new to a major Zelda tit...

Re: Software is for pussies.

I wonder if GG! buys the European versions of Ubisoft titles and plays them in French.

Then again, some Ubisoft titles are made in Canada too! Are there Canadian versions of these titles or are they identical to the US version?
